There are tall orange cones in front of 521 W. Kirkwood & pink paint marking the lawn & sidewalk. Same set-up across the street. If the city is planning to dig up something--pipes, et, will this affect where the BL Transit can pickup & drop passengers? I catch the bus in front of 521 to go to work. Thanks.
The vegetation along Smith Ave from Euclid to Walker is out of control AGAIN. It overgrows into both sides of Smith so cars get scratched. If you want to turn onto Smith from Buckner you CANNOT see East on Smith to know if a car is coming West on Smith. Going East and West on Smith, the same problem occurs both directions on Davisson. This is a chronic problem every year. I believe Smith is platted as 16 feet wide, but there is definitely not that much clearance. I also believe there is city law that says vegetation should be cut back 3 feet from the street edges. If owners would cut their vegetation back one foot from the paved edge of Smith it would be a lot better. I'd appreciate contact from you after you look into this. Thank You!! There is a sign advertising an AirBnB rental attached to a tree on the property at 813 Kirkwood Ave. The tree is one of two on either side of the alley next to the property, and is located on the berm between the street and the sidewalk, and so appears to be in the city's Right of Way. As far as I understand it, this signage is in violation of the Bloomington Municipal Code, Title 12 (Streets, Sidewalks, and Storm Drains), Chapter 24.080 (Trees and Flora), Ord. 08-06 § 2 (part), 2008) - Prohibited actions, which states "(2) No person shall do any of the following to trees subject to these provisions: (b) Attach any wires, nails, chains, cables, advertising posters or any other contrivance" I would appreciate it if the city removed this sign and prevented such actions by the landlord in the future.
Hello! I work at WonderLab Science Museum. We were wondering what would be needed to improve a curb that is on the west side of our building in the front. It goes into an alley that school buses use. Bus drives have a very difficult time getting in without hitting the curb. This curb also has an accessibility ramp that does not line up with the rest of the side walk on 4th street going west (due to the entrance to the parking garage of the neighboring residence). The curb cut is currently closer to the alley way than on the corner of the sidewalk. We would like the ramp to moved to the corner of the curb for accessibility and bus movement. An oversized cut on that corner would be ideal. Thank you!
Line of sight issues. Can’t see to get out of the alley tree plots are blocking my view to pull out. Very dangerous. I complained last year and nothing was done. Worse this year
Poor/horrible visibility at the intersection of 4th and Jackson streets. If you are traveling on Jackson and needing to turn on 4th or cross 4th - you have to pull 1/2 way into the road to see around parked cars. I've witnessed several near accidents. Recommending a 4 way stop at this intersection.
Approx. half the alley behind 912 W 2nd St (alley between 2nd and Howe) is overgrown. Cars cannot pass through without veering into church parking lot.

Line of sight blocked due to weed overgrowth from Euclid street to this address. You cannot see cars/semi trucks coming down the hill!
Last week there was another accident, homeowner continues to grow "wildflowers" and does not maintain growth to a reasonable height, vegetation blocks line of sight and is very dangerous.
