Please consider a stop sign on Southdowns and circle drive. People come up westbound on southdowns heading around the corner very fast. We have many walkers and children and it is a blind curve.
Deer cross S. Rogers St. daily in one particular location, on the north side of the 2129 S Rogers St property. An increasing number of cars fly down the road all day and lots of people use the sidewalk so its a risk not only to the deer but to motorists and pedestrians. I am requesting a deer crossing sign be installed on both sides of the road. My mom lives at 2219 S Rogers St. and we frequently see deer and their babies nearly get hit (and have been hit). If you face 2129 S Rogers, you will see the area on the far left side of the property where they cross near the trees. Thank you for considering this signage. Street lines and signs not enough to avoid a head on collision. Temporary lines are not sticking to pavemnet. Have seen motorists make north-flow clairizz a 2 lane one way.
It would be great to have a no parking to corner sign here. From a biker's perspective, it is uncomfortable for oncoming traffic/turning traffic, if a car is parked near the stop sign/line.
Due to parked cars on east & west sides of Dodds, it is challenging to see oncoming traffic to turn left or right off of S. Dunn. Especially during rush hour, I’ve had several close calls with oncoming cars. A 4-way stop would be very helpful there. Or limiting parking on Dodds.
Two signs within a inches of each other, one blocking the other. Project has been finished a while I think but this may need attention.
Here at Griffin Realty we witness multiple incidents every week of drivers traveling the wrong way on S College Ave coming from S Walnut St via Dodds. There is only one small sign that indicates that this is a One Way street. I believe that more signage (Do Not Enter, Wrong Way, etc) is needed. Thanks.
There has always been speed limit signs across from my house and my neighbor’s house (2 specifically are no longer there). They have been taken down since all the construction of our new 10 ft sidewalks. They need to be replaced! Many people are driving 40-50 miles an hour down our street now! With our new extra wide sidewalks, our street has heavy pedestrian traffic in addition to the school just down the street. It may also be partly because it looks like a very wide open road with the huge sidewalks, people feel they can go as fast as they want. There needs to be a four way stop sign at this intersection. It’s currently not safe for cars driving northbound on Hawthorne, as you can’t see very far to the left and cars come flying down 1st street at high speed (way over the speed limit) due to the lack of stop signs along this stretch of the road. This in of itself is a safety issue for the many families living along the road but also for the bikers and pedestrians trying to cross along that Hawthorne greenway bike route. Likewise, when approaching this intersection going southbound on Hawthorne it’s very hard to see to the left. You end up having to nudge the nose of your car into the intersection to even see when you ca. try to cross. I’ve personally had a couple of close calls with speeding cars on 1st. This needs to be addressed soon or there is likely to be a serious accident at this intersection!
In regards to the alley in between Lincoln and Grant, behind the Boys and Girls club. As you may know, that stretch of Lincoln is closed due to construction. Currently the only way to access The Boys and Girls Club is through the alley. The Club has asked parents to treat it as a one way, following the flow of Lincoln. Though of course not many are abiding and it’s almost caused me an accident last week. I had a small fender bender in that alley in 2019, he sped through one of the entrances to the alley going towards Grant as I was moving towards 3rd. With heavier traffic through this area for the Club, it’s a creating dangerous mess. I would at the very least suggest temporary “One Way” signs following the flow of Lincoln St during this construction to prevent any accidents and congestion. Thank you for your time.
