County closed bridge to motor vehicles until it can be replaced. Bridge will remain open for bicyclists and pedestrians.

Genesis Construction is requesting a pedestrian diversion and intermittent closures, traffic lane shifts and intermittent lane closures, alley closures, and metered parking reservations associated with the project at 115 E Kirkwood Avenue. The request impacts the northern sidewalk on E Kirkwood, the north–south and east–west alleys surrounding 115 E Kirkwood, the east–west travel lanes on E Kirkwood, and the metered parking spaces along the north and south side of E Kirkwood.

Sidewalk closures, metered parking reservations, and alley closures surrounding the former Poplars Building located at 400 E 7th Street. The request includes the eastern sidewalk and adjacent parking lanes on N Dunn Street, the southern sidewalk on E 7th Street, and the east/west alley between E 6th Street and E 7th Street. The requested closures are to accommodate completion of exterior façade work, including masonry cleaning and sealing, followed by sidewalk reconstruction and perimeter landscaping along the east side of the Poplars Building on Dunn Street. Traffic control on N Dunn Street is proposed to be in place from February 23, 2026, through July 17, 2026. Traffic control on E 7th Street and within the east/west alley between E 6th Street and E 7th Street will remain in place through July 27, 2026, to support final site concrete work and landscaping associated with project completion. W Club House Dr east of the Sycamore Shelter and to the intersection at N Old SR 37 has been closed. The Sycamore Shelter can still be accessed from the west via Kinser Pike and Club House Dr. Monroe County has accepted ownership of the bridge but does not currently have funding for repairs as of 8/3/26. A date for re-opening will be contingent upon necessary bridge repairs and is currently not known.

Lane closure for electric work

This closure will maintain access to the north Switchyard Park Entrance and Parking and Transit via a LOCAL ACCESS ONLY closure at S Walnut St and Grimes Lane. ALL other vehicles Shall be detoured. The Detour route is Rogers, 1st St, Dodds, and Walnut. Morton Street will be Closed to thru traffic, and Local access only.

Weddle Brothers is requesting approval of a temporary right-of-way closure at South College Avenue to accommodate completing the enclosure at the connector portion of the Bloomington Convention Center Expansion Project that will span from the new expansion on the east side of South College Avenue to the west side of College Avenue. The request includes temporary closures of: the western sidewalk, the existing eastern pedestrian diversion, and College Avenue south of 3rd Street, as necessary to safely complete the work. The closure(s) are proposed from June 30, 2026 through July 24, 2026. Pedestrian and vehicular traffic will be maintained, shifted, or rerouted in accordance with the approved maintenance of traffic plan. In addition to the right-of-way closure requests Weddle Brothers has also submitted a noise permit application that would only be used to meet the deadline of reopening the right-of-way on July 24, 2026.
