Genesis Construction is requesting a pedestrian diversion and intermittent closures, traffic lane shifts and intermittent lane closures, alley closures, and metered parking reservations associated with the project at 115 E Kirkwood Avenue. The request impacts the northern sidewalk on E Kirkwood, the north–south and east–west alleys surrounding 115 E Kirkwood, the east–west travel lanes on E Kirkwood, and the metered parking spaces along the north and south side of E Kirkwood.

Sidewalk closures, metered parking reservations, and alley closures surrounding the former Poplars Building located at 400 E 7th Street. The request includes the eastern sidewalk and adjacent parking lanes on N Dunn Street, the southern sidewalk on E 7th Street, and the east/west alley between E 6th Street and E 7th Street. The requested closures are to accommodate completion of exterior façade work, including masonry cleaning and sealing, followed by sidewalk reconstruction and perimeter landscaping along the east side of the Poplars Building on Dunn Street. 2026 Kirkwood Brick Paver Repair Project

A full Road closure for the installation of a raised crosswalk and new storm structure. Detour will be East 7th street, North Jefferson Street and East 10th Street.

Lane closures during normal construction hours and overnight road closures on West 2nd Street at South morton Street for gas main relocation. Trench cut running north/south on Morton across 2nd with a tap pit on each end that measures 3' x 115' x 5'. 1-3 days of overnight work to occur between May 20-27, 2026.

3 phases of 3 day closures between the listed dates

Beginning Tuesday, May 22 and continuing through Friday, May 29, City of Bloomington Utilities (CBU) will implement a lane restriction on South Walnut Street at the intersection with East Wylie Street to complete utility work in the area. In addition, East Wylie Street will be closed to through traffic between South Walnut Street and South Lincoln Street for the duration of the work. Local access to residences and businesses will be maintained throughout the project. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and to use caution near the work zone while CBU crews and equipment are on site. As with all construction activities, the schedule is subject to change based on weather and field conditions.
