Double the Love: September 1–21

This September, your support can go twice as far for animals in need.

From September 1–21, Bloomington Animal Care and Control is hosting our Double the Love fundraiser to support the Shelter Medical Fund. Thanks to a generous anonymous donor, every dollar donated will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $20,000, giving us the opportunity to raise $40,000 for animals in need of medical care.

Our Medical Fund helps provide lifesaving and life-changing care for sick and injured animals who come through our doors, including diagnostic testing, emergency treatment, surgeries and other specialized veterinary care.

One donation. Twice the impact. Twice the love.

In addition to giving online, we have several special events planned throughout the campaign where you can meet adoptable animals, learn more about the Medical Fund, make a donation, and help us spread the word. We’ll be sharing event details throughout September, so keep an eye out for more ways to get involved and Double the Love!

Bloomington Animal Shelter Wishlist

Donations may be dropped off directly at the Bloomington Animal Shelter. 

Highest Need Items:

• Spray Cheese, Easy Cheese, Kong Easy Treat
• Soft dog treats (Moist and Meaty, Pupperoni, Beggin Strips, etc.)
• Dog toys (e.g., Kongs, Nyla bones, stuffed animals)
• Cat toys (cat wands, catnip mice, etc.)
• Quality dog and cat food (canned)
• Rabbit toys
• Towels, blankets, sheets, rugs, dog and cat beds (used but clean items are okay but we cannot use pillows)

Other Needed Items:

• Bleach
• Hand Sanitizer
• Papertowels
• Dish Soap
• Plastic cat crates
• Plastic dog crates
• Amazon and Kroger Gift Cards are also welcome and greatly appreciated!

Donations are accepted at our location, or can be mailed to:  Bloomington Animal Care and Control, 3410 S. Walnut St., Bloomington, IN 47401.

Donations can be dropped off Monday, Tuesday,  Thursday and Friday from 12-5 pm, Saturday and Sunday 12-3 pm. Please contact BACC at (812) 349-3492 with any donation questions.
