The construction crew has blocked the sidewalk with fencing, and the grassy area is slick and muddy making it hazardous to walk on. As a result, pedestrians are walking in the traffic lane (not safe!). Can we find a different solution so nobody gets hurt?
The closure was approved by the Board of Public Works and includes sidewalk and curb replacement as well as other amenities in the walk such as street lights. OSHA suggests separating peds and construction where possible. For safety reasons, it is best to move peds to other side of street.
Rick, I'm not sure of what agreement you have with them on College. We are having some problems with pedestrians. Thanks,
