Tree trimmed.
Other: There is a large tree that blocks the view of the east side of the road on 8th street from Roosevelt street. There have been many close calls with traffic and I think it's dangerous. The only way to see traffic coming from the east side is to pull up past the tree, but by then you are already halfway in the road. I would appreciate it if this tree could be cut down or at least cut in a way that makes it possible to see the road. The photo is the view from Roosevelt looking left to 8th street at the stop sign.
Tree trimmed.
After informing tenant and property owner of intention to seek abatement at Parks Commission meeting, tenant worked with Dan to trim tree back and improve sight distance. Item removed from Parks Commission meeting agenda.

HAND identified that the person living at 400 N Roosevelt has an agreement in place to purchase the home (not a rental per their review). This person was not mailed a notice of violation letter and may not be aware of the concern.
Emailed legal update and asked for advice on next steps regarding NE intersection quadrant.
Bush in SW corner was removed to address the sight distance concern. No changes to the NE corner.
Emailed Ms. Wray an update regarding her concern.
Received final feedback from legal. Finalized letters and notice of violations. Put in mail to owner's listed address. 2206 E 8th St property is a listed rental. Called listed management company to provide advance notice (left voicemail). 400 N Roosevelt property owner has different address than property address but it isn't listed as a rental. HAND pursuing this.
Received feedback from legal. Resubmitted draft letter for review.
Submitted draft letter directed to the corner property owners to legal for review.
Discussion with legal regarding their review of state and city codes. Determined appropriate course of action.
Visited the subject intersection. Verified the tree described in the uReport obstructs the view of WB traffic on 8th Street. While in field, a nearby resident said the bush in the SW corner actually creates a larger sight distance/safety concern. Field measurements confirmed the shrub in the SW corner also obstructs desired sight lines.
Contacted legal for assistance in identifying and clarifying state and local sight triangle regulations. Awaiting response.
