I investigated this intersection and found line of sight to be adequate. I spoke with traffic engineers about traffic volume and we are not currently pursuing any changes for this intersection at this time. I did not contact the constituent because they did not leave their contact information with Mike Arnold whom received the call.

I spoke with the traffic engineers about the volume and difficulty turning at this intersection. We are not pursuing any changes related to those concerns for this intersection at this time. As far as line of sight is concerned, our suggestion would be to make sure you pull the front of your vehicle in front of the stop bar. The measurements taken for line of sight show that the driver can be pulled forward to the point that they are "sitting" on top of the stop bar. This gives the driver an adequate line of sight to turn left onto Hillside from Highland.

I evaluated this intersection today. I found line of sight to be adequate for motorists traveling north on Highland looking East for westbound traffic on Hillside. I entered the uReport anyways because of other traffic concerns I will speak with the engineers about.
