Web Form: The hand dryers in Twin Lakes bathrooms sound like a jet plane taking off. As the worst case of noise pollution I’ve ever heard, why have they not been replaced? See https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2019/05/13/is-noise-pollution-the-next-big-public-health-crisis

Hi Lucy: We did some research and here was our findings. We have 7 units like this in the facility. 2 have adjustments and we adjusted them down but sound the same to us. Currently we would have to replace 7 with no guarantee that the current technology would be quieter. Each unit with all expenses would be about $500 a piece so a $3,500 decision with no guarantee to solve the problem. We decided to go away from paper because of that large expense and mess. We are looking into sound dampening options as these units are in bathrooms with tile, metal, and solid ceilings. No carpet or drop ceiling or any sound dampening fixtures. We think this could make a difference.
