Animal Control & Neglected Pets:

Other: There's a very aggressive red-winged blackbird along the trail at Miller-Showers Park across from the Pepsi trucks and First Insurance Group. This is the third year in a row that such a bird has disrupted this part of the trail. I saw a red-winged blackbird attack other folks as well at this same place last year. I'm not sure if there's anything that can be done, but I wanted to make sure the Parks Department was aware in case there is.

It appears that this bird is guarding a nest. No new reports past spring. If returns next spring may need to remove or work to relocate.

Haven't heard anything more about this bird but thought I would at least share this with you

I will have an Animal Control Officer check this out. I suspect that it is a bird protecting its nest. Wanted you to be aware of the issue.
