City of Bloomington, Indiana

closed: Resolved #174081

City Construction Projects:

Other: The retaining drainage Channel wall below the driveway is falling apart. This is a serious safety hazard. Additionally, tons of weeds are growing inside the channel that need removal and cleanup. This over growth is another reason why the cracks are appearing and the channel walls are falling apart. Please take action promptly. Thanks.

I spoke to both the homeowner, and her son. I explained that the driveway was their responsibility. I explained that the stone walled ditch out front was working and performing its intended purpose and we had no intentions of enclosing it. They expressed their concerns of aesthetics, maintenance, and safety.
