Parks & Playgrounds:

Other: I am so glad to see that you are finally going to fix Push Place. The picture of the proposed new playground at Push Place looks horrible: one huge slide. Some families have multiple kids with varying degrees of comfort with slides. You need to have some short slides and some medium slides. People shouldn't have to continue crossing Hillside to get to Bryan Park so that their little kids can go down a reasonable sized slide. Even little Southeast Park has 4 slides of varying degrees of difficulty. Will there be hearings on this proposal? Will there be an opportunity to change this design to something that will work for toddlers, pre-schoolers and elementary school aged kids?

The design for the new Winslow Woods playground is finalized at this point, but we appreciate your feedback. We did engage a group of parents of various-aged children to help with some feedback on some of the final proposals. We strive to include elements of play for all ages, which in this case is represented by some of the climbing elements, music play, and clubhouse. Your feedback on slides is well received and something we will keep in mind moving forwards. Thanks for your concerns.
