Other: Dear City of Bloomington, I want to begin by acknowledging the hard work and efforts of city employees during recent winter weather events. That work does not go unnoticed. However, the unfinished road conditions across the city are concerning. We are now over a week past the most recent snowfall, and many major roads within city limits remain uncleared or only partially cleared. Several roads still have lane blockages, inconsistent clearing, and obstructions that pose potential safety risks and increase the likelihood of accidents. When traveling in from surrounding rural areas, I expected conditions to be worse; however, county and state-maintained roads have been consistently attended to. Crews have been out daily addressing problem areas and ensuring all lanes—including shoulders—are cleared and returned to normal operating conditions. I respectfully ask that the City review the current road conditions within Bloomington and take the necessary steps to bring major roadways back to a safe and fully functional standard for residents and commuters.
