City Construction Projects:

Other: Why are the street cuts so poorly done and do called repaired 2nd street. Done are not bad and others are terrible. I understand that a new road is supposed to going in, but our cars are getting beat up. Also since when does the city allow patching concrete sidewalks with asphalt? I assume all that is coming out to be replaced with concrete again. I assume we’re having lovely bike lanes incorporated into this new construction project that very few people will use. Thank you for using our tax money to a fullest extent of your dreams.

Thank you for drawing attention to the surface restoration deficiencies with the utility relocation work that's been happening on 2nd Street. Our right of way permitting team has been working with the utilities to correct these issues. Even though the roadway is about to be reconstructed, the utilities are still responsible for repairing their cuts properly. You should see improvements in the coming days and weeks. Please continue to be aware and travel cautiously along this corridor as the main phase of construction begins this week on the 2nd Street project. I have forwarded your feedback regarding the project on to our planning department.
