Traffic Related Complaints: Request
Phone Call: Calling on behalf of Fairview School PTO. They are concerned about traffic on the block of N Fairview between 7th & 8th, especially right before & after school. With parents dropping off & picking up, parking, pulling in & out, etc it is hazardous for the children. Wants to know if that block of Fairview could be made one-way - or if there are other possible solutions. FYI - she is married to HT reporter Steve Hinnefeld.

I was at a conference but Denise called and talked to Teresa Malone and explained our hesitancy to make a change like that which will affect the whole neighborhood 24 hrs a day, every day. She wondered if the PTO could just send out notices to parents asking them to perform their drop off and pick up in a one-directional manner. Ms. Malone was supposed to call back but as of 12/24/97 had not.
