Caller to HAND reporting unsafe conditions & activity taking place in vacant house and shed that have been ongoing for at least two years. In addition to overgrown grass, that a Compliance Officer has been addressing/issuing citations for, there are people accessing the abandoned shed & vehicle leaving needles in the yard. She is concerned for the neighborhood children, her own safety when trying to run people off and the effect the problem is having on the adjacent properties. Not sure what category this falls under, and not clear who owns the property (private or RR.) Can the City cleanup garbage dumps that were created by vagrants, or at least enforce that attention be paid to them? There are syringes, etc. lying in the woods close to a main thoroughfare. Some drunk could wander in there at night and be injured.

This house has been in a constant state of demolition. There is trash everywhere. At night, people are using the basement as a shelter. Cats are frequently seen catching rats. I live at 1007 W 1st, the rats are encroaching on my property and at 6am, people are crawling out of the basement. The dumpster is huge and has not been emptied for quite a while. This site is a serious health hazard and keeps me from enjoing my home.

Can the mayor or risk management or the lawyers or human resources please explain what safety policies are? Who is in charge of the virus response? A coworker in another department told me yesterday that city workers are to wear masks now if around others, but our director isn't and coworkers aren't. We all are supposed to have cloth masks aren't we? Everything is super unclear or not followed. Who is even supposed to be at work? And definitely most folks walking around aren't masked it doesn't sound like. Can a mass email go out? Or an online meeting or something?
