house is falling apart, no one lives there
House is abandoned and has signs on it from the city that it's inhabitable - it's possible there are squatters in the house and in the shed in the backyard. A chair showed up in the front. There are towels covering the windows. and Shed has been opened.
I moved out of this property in January due to unsafe living conditions. There was a cracked foundation and slumping overhang. Our former neighbors have since reported that no outdoor work was done to the home.

There is a man living in a tent in the side yard. He has been there for weeks.
The main electric wire from the pole to this house has been hanging low for nearly a full year after a limb fell on the wire and pulled the wire holder attachment anchor out of the house structure. We (Chickering Rentals) own and manage a rental next to this property at 1006 e 1st, and the electric wire for 1002 e 1st is hanging low enough to touch in our back yard and creating a hazard. I alerted Duke and they informed me that they cannot do anything to re-hang the wire until the property owner at 1002 e 1st re-mounts the wire holder anchor, or installs new service mast. I attempted to reach out to the owner of 1002 e 1st to ask them to make the necessary repair and was unsuccessful. Not sure if the city can do anything about this to help.
