GRAVEL AND UTILITY TRUCKS ARE LEFT ON THIS STREET WHEN THE CREW ISN'T WORKING HERE. THE GRAVEL DUST CAUSES A MESS. HER CAR IS DIRTY, AND SHE CAN'T OPEN HER WINDOWS BECAUSE IT GETS HER HOUSE DIRTY.

Citizen objects that Utilities will only repave area torn up for water main installation. Says the work has damaged the whole street and it needs repaving. Says the front of her property has been damaged by storage & removal of gravel, etc. Wants her lawn repaired. Has spoken with Doug Jones who said Mike Farmer would call her. When sewer line was being installed, her property line was taken out, ground bulldozed, fence cut/damaged, and dog houses turned over. She wants Crider & Crider to replace fence. She has called C & C, CBU, Engineering, and Risk. SEE JANE FLEIG and/or JENNIFER LLOYD FOR FURTHER DETAILS.
ELEANOR BARKLEY CALLED ON 4/18/97. SHE WANTED TO COMPLAINED ABOUT CONSTRUCTION WORK DONE IN THE VICINTY OF HER APTS. AT 2ND & ADAMS. APPARENTLY, A WATER LINE WAS CUT BY THE CREW DOING THE WORK ON 4/15/97. THIS CAUSED MUD BUILDUP IN THE LINES IN HER APTS. MS. BARKLEY HAD TO PAY OUT A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO CLEAN UP THE MESS AND MAKE THE APTS. LIVABLE FOR HER TENANTS. MS. BARKLEY FEELS THAT SHE SHOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR HER EXPENDITURES. SHE DOES NOT KNOW IF CREW WAS COB, CBU, OR PRIVATE.
A CONCERNED CITIZEN CAME INTO THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT REGARDING THE CULVERT PIPE INSTALLED ON SOUTH ROGERS STREET ( A FEW YARDS NORTH OF #1604) AT THE RAILROAD TRACKS. THE GROUND/ROAD ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER IS ERODING AWAY CAUSING A STEEP DROP OFF. REYNOLDS COMPANY DID A ROAD PROJECT AT THIS AREA APPROXIMATELY LAST YEAR OR THE YEAR BEFORE. THE CITIZEN IS CONCERNED THAT THE ROAD WILL CONTINUE TO ERODE AWAY, COULD SOMEONE FROM THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT TAKE A LOOK AT THE PIPE.

Deb McMullen is upset that the city has spent all this money on the College Mall Road project, and the best the city could come up with was restricting only one business, namely Dr. Steeles, to no entry from the south. She says that it looks bad on the department.
