The metered street parking in front of the Graduate Hotel on Lincoln Avenue is very confusing. There are meters at these spots, implying that these are public parking spots. However, the Graduate Hotel has put signs indicating these spots are reserved for their valet service. Which one is it? If these are truly public spots, please inform the Gradate Hotel. Today after parking in one of these spots, and depositing money in the meter, one of their staff members indicated that I could not park there.
Traffic on East Wylie St very fast, potential hazards, while a lot of kids are living (and playing) in this street. Need for better signalization, lower speed limit, speed cushions or bump-outs to reduce motor vehicle speeds (inspired by the East Allen Street Greenway project?)
I live off of Smith Rd and travel the road multiple times a day. I am almost in an accident every time I’m at this intersection. Vehicles that are crossing Smith Rd are constantly going around vehicles trying to turn from Smith Rd onto 3rd St, as if there is a turn lane. I have spent an entire green light attempting to turn onto 3rd St, unable to do so because of this issue. Traffic is frequently backed up. If you do not pull into the intersection while trying to turn onto 3rd St, vehicles crossing Smith Rd display angry gestures and honking because they cannot cross while you are unable to turn. Turn lanes and turn arrows need to be implemented here.
Smith Rd often has folks speeding between E Third and Moore's Pike. There are no stop signs and no traffic monitoring... and too many folks just whiz along. It can be dangerous checking the mailbox or crossing the road and animals crossing the road are in peril. Need traffic monitoring and better placement of speed limit signage (the sign near the Lutheran Church is not nicely visible/not effectively placed....and it is the only one). The intersection at Smith and 3rd is horrendous. It is very difficult making a left from Smith to E 3rd and cars behind grow impatient. Thank you.

Abandoned vehicle
Too many cars, dump trucks, and even school buses are speeding on W. 17th St. west of the roundabout to the hill. Sometimes they're going in excess of 20 mph above the posted speed limit (which is 25 going east and 30 going west). Plus many of the vehicle, particularly motorcycles, have terrible mufflers that far exceed the noise specified by the Bloomington noise ordinance. It's unbearable at times (not exaggerating). I can't even hold a conversation on my front porch. And other neighbors are awakened every night by the noise. If this isn't the right place to post this complaint, please send me the correct contact information.
The left turn lane that was painted on the street where Hillside turns onto South Highland is invisible. We’re waiting for an accident to happen. Please paint the street ASAP. Thank you.
I have noticed since this road has been repaved that cars are driving extremely fast down Cory Lane. I have a 4-year-old and a cat that sometimes play in the front yard, and it is very concerning to me that people are flying down the road. There are children that live in both houses in front of me that I'm sure would enjoy playing in their yards, but their safety is questionable with people driving the way they are. Soon enough all the children, mine included, will be school-age and waiting for a bus, which scares the hell out of me. I'm not sure what the answer is. Maybe putting up a speed limit sign? A sign that says children live nearby and to slow down? Even a few speed bumps would be great. Anything would be better. I appreciate that the road has been redone, and it's very nice, but it has definitely lead to frequent speeding.
