On East 17th Street in front of the Devault Alumni Center (1000 E 17th St) there is a well-used pedestrian crosswalk. The white stripes are faded and at the crest of a hill, which makes them difficult for cars to see. A sign in the center of the roadway to highlight where the crosswalk is would be more eye-catching and will help drivers notice the crosswalk. The crosswalk is also right across from a bus stop, so this causes further confusion for drivers, who may be unsure if people are waiting for the bus or getting ready to cross. If a new island type sign was erected and the bus stop was moved 40-50 feet east of the crosswalk, I believe it would make this area much safer for pedestrians and drivers.

A street sign is down at the north east corner of 1st and Fess. The sign ws face down, but looked to be a parking sign. I observed this about one hour ago (2pm on Oct. 20, 2017).

Dear Street Department, I recently moved into an apartment located in lower Bloomington on Willow Court. The stop sign at the intersection looks horribly worn and I worry that it might become a hazard. I realize it's not a high priority since Willow Court is small and has little traffic. However, there are children in the area and I worry for their safety so I thought I would at least give it a shot reaching out to you guy. Speeders again on new road on Morningside. Bump requested @ N. Sheffield & E. Morningside as well as near Park Ridge East Park @ E Morningside and N Park Ridge.

Spot lights are poorly timed going both east away from Curry Pike along Third St and mostly west toward Curry Pike. Please fix and make traffic flow more easily along Third St, especially going west. And also especially at Third and Curry going east after 4 p.m.

The intersection of Moore's Pike and Smith Road is dangerous coming towards the intersection going north on Smith Road. There needs to be a stop ahead sign put out. During Winter we have cars drive into our front yard close to our house from having to slam on breaks to avoid a collision.

The light at 3rd and Wynnedale creates major traffic problems, bringing all of 3rd street to a standstill constantly. I have seen near misses constantly of people impatiently cutting off each other or stopping in the middle of intersections. The light needs to be fixed to facilitate the flow of traffic safely.

Turning left from 11th street to North Walnut. In order to see the south to north traffic on North Walnut it is necessary to edge out into North Walnut in order to see traffic. Cars that are turning left can usually get around your car if you are turning left, however, today a city bus was turning left, there was a car behind me, so I couldn't back up, I tried to move to the right but that didn't work but finally I did back up so he was able to get around me. Therefore, something needs to be done to improve the visibility of the traffic at that corner.
