There is currently "No Parking" on the south side of 11th Street from Monroe to Walnut Street. LeGrange has a difficult time pulling out of her drive when there are cars parked to the east of her drive. The neighbor has approx. 4-5 cars parked on the street up to her drive. She feels that the parking restriction should be on the north side of 11th Street from Monroe to Orris Drive. The line of sight is terrible on the north side. She would like the Traffic Commission to look into this matte
Returning IU student who will be living in Allen Bldg. Upset that she cannot buy a neighborhood parking permit and would have to pay $305 to park in city lot. Says it is contradictory to subsidize housing and not provide affordable housing.
Cars are parking on the road along Palmer causing traffic to drive in the yards to get by. Problem is apparently due to a lack in pavement width and snow piles.
Complainant would like Ballantine made one-way going north and Hawthorne made one-way going south. She feels that this will make for a safer pedestrian crossing. (see letter in traffic complaint file)
Alley way behind 1021-1023 W. 12th Street (the cul-de-sac) is 1) almost out of gravel and 2) due to trees in right of way, is encroaching into complainants property. Mr. Onkst would like to see the alley repaired and realigned. Please call him with updates, etc
He called to offer support of the letter sent by Tom Frohman re: the problems associated with the Park and Ride program at Bryan Park. He lives on the corner of Maxwell and Manor and feels it is quite unsafe for the people who walk that street (to get to the park) to have to negotiate around parked cars. Also the people visiting the park in cars don't have places to park. IU should bear more of the responsibility.
Overgrown shrubs blocking vision at intersection of Maxwell Ln. & Manor Rd.
Mr. Craig would like to have speed humps installed on Thomson Park Drive. There are no stop signs on this stretch of road from Countryside Lane to the Park area. People speed through this area and it will be worse now that the children are out of school.
Barbara Daniels called to inform us that the intersection of Third and Walker is obstructed by large shrubs, trees, and a tall fence that make it unable for motorists to see to get onto Third. She wasn't sure of the private residence's address, but wanted the City to do something about it.
