Park Ridge neighborhood - We need the street dept. to re-stencil all of the traffic calming symbols and stripes on all the speed bumps. Also, all posts with safety reflectors need to be inspected. Some missing altogether as well as many round reflectors missing. Please follow up - we would appreciate it! Weather is perfect for such work! People, and especially Uber/Lyft drivers park right at the stop sign at the intersection of 18th St and N Dunn St by Evolve Apartments and double park along 18th St all of the time and this creates a huge issue for traffic traveling on the street.
Road was torn up during repairs to water line over the winter. Has not been resurfaced. Hazardous because cars drive on wrong side of street to avoid non-paved areas.
When will W 17th St reopen? No construction activity during the past 2 weeks...........
"Turn arrow and street sign has been hit by a car and needs to be fixed" at corner of W 17th St. and Crescent Rd.
Mr. Guess has called Police several times to request that they radar near his home between 8 & 10 a.m. and 2 and 5 p.m., to slow speeding vehicles. Guess has offered his driveway for police to park in when radaring speeders. Can Police Department radar this area?
MR. KUPERSMITH FEELS THAT TRAFFIC TRAVELS AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED ON WEST 8TH STREET BETWEEN ADAMS STREET AND THE TRAILER COURT. HE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SOMETHING DONE IN THIS AREA, POSSIBLY SPEED BUMPS (SEE ATTACHED LETTER).
Vehicles are speeding downs 8th Street in front of Mr. Craig's house. He feels that most of this traffic comes from Valhalia Mobile Home Park. There are several children that play in this neighborhood, very dangerous situation. Craig contacted Randy Williamson, Police Department. Williamson will have Police out there to do radar. Craig would like to have speed and traffic counts done, possibly install a stop sign, 8th Street & Hays Street.
I live on the Waterman section of W. 8th Street. A few years ago, before the city repaved our road, there were yellow center lines and also marked roadside parking spaces. When will the city repaint those lines? It has been a few years already. We have an issue of people speeding on our road, which they do by driving down the center of it regardless of oncoming traffic, pedestrians, and bicyclists. I think the speeding was less of an issue back when the road lines were painted because those lines prevented people from driving down the middle of the road like they do now. I think repainting the center lines and the parking spot lines, we could actually solve the speeding problem.
