I have noticed since this road has been repaved that cars are driving extremely fast down Cory Lane. I have a 4-year-old and a cat that sometimes play in the front yard, and it is very concerning to me that people are flying down the road. There are children that live in both houses in front of me that I'm sure would enjoy playing in their yards, but their safety is questionable with people driving the way they are. Soon enough all the children, mine included, will be school-age and waiting for a bus, which scares the hell out of me. I'm not sure what the answer is. Maybe putting up a speed limit sign? A sign that says children live nearby and to slow down? Even a few speed bumps would be great. Anything would be better. I appreciate that the road has been redone, and it's very nice, but it has definitely lead to frequent speeding.

The noise from a constant flow of dump trucks and motorcycles is intolerable. The streets and walking paths are now coated with dirt and sand that washes out from around the street lights, gravel, road trash that requires CONSTANT removal and mostly from the dirt that comes out from uncovered dump trucks servicing the Trinitas project. Our rental house sits close to the road where the noise level is unacceptable. The retaining walls cause even more noise than before. We need some speed and noise control, please. Aren't there weight limits for residential streets? Semitrucks and trailers and full dump trucks do not belong on residential streets do they? I thought that's what "highways" were for.

Temporary lane markings were left after construction of 7th street bike lane, but they appear to be incomprehensible to majority of traffic and are also peeling off of pavement. Westbound cars regularly drive in the left-side, oncoming lane, or directly in middle of both lanes. Either method is a hazard to eastbound traffic as well as westbound traffic turning left onto Dunn as cars in left lane will try to go straight past turning traffic. Temporary directional arrows were installed but seem to have made no improvement. Disaster waiting to happen.

Many of the very many dump trucks going north/south on Monroe St., around the roundabout, and west/east on 17th St. are speeding (not just 6 miles over); many need to get their exhaust pipes fixed (very noisy); and many are polluting--so violating speed, noise, and environmental regulations. Plus, stone, bits of concrete, etc. are dropping off their trucks, particularly in and around the roundabout. I think--but don't know for sure--that the trucks are going in/out of the Tri-North Middle School project. They are different trucking companies (some worse than others), including A+ Performance, Crider, Burke, and Young. Can something be done?

At the intersection of E 3rd St and College Mall Rd motorists headed west on E 3rd St and turning south onto College Mall Rd often crowd into the intersection as their light turns yellow and then red. They then are blocking the intersection so that people traveling east on East 3rd are blocked from proceeding. Today they blocked the intersection for almost he entire duration of the green light for those traveling East on 3rd St. My suggestion is to post an officer at this intersection and ticket persons who are blocking the intersection when the light for the eastbound cars on 3rd St turns green.

208A N Smith Rd, Bloomington, IN 47408, USA

Case Date:

Traffic heading south on Smith Rd continues to be backed up all the way to the intersection of 10th St and Smith due to the 4-way stop sign intersection at Smith and Morningside and the stop light at Smith and 3rd St. Cars turning left do not have a green turn signal and must wait until traffic going in the opposite direction is clear, causing major back ups. Many vehicles turn left onto 3rd St heading east so a green turn arrow really is needed, along with a turn lane.

Is the city or county responsible for enforcing the speed limit that people travel on Kinser Pike between the stop sign at BHSN and the I-69 overpass? People routinely drive 40-60 MPH, especially on the straight sections even though the hills prevent them from seeing a pedestrian or bicyclist. The posted speed limit is 30 MPH. Can something not be done to slow them down? I am starting with this question to the city because the city clears the street so I thought the speed limit might be under city responsibility also. It is horribly dangerous to attempt walking on the road and there are no sidewalks between Acuff Rd and I-69. Can one of the units that tracks people's speed be set up to monitor and notify people that they are driving over the speed limit? One white sporty car drives so fast through the Bayles Rd T straight away that it is an unidentifiable white blur.
