Tree down by 911 n Madison blocking alley
Earlier tonight a tree fell down over the bridge at Lake Griffy, blocking both lanes of traffic. A few of us motorists got out and pushed it over the guardrail to clear the road. It occurs to me that now it's possible for that tree to roll down on to boaters (although I think it's still partly attached at the base). You might want to check it out though, and also possibly the guardrail sections on both sides. It's on the side closest to the boat house.
The lawn crew at Barclay Square (3000 S. Walnut St. Pk.) are blowing ALL of the leaves out into the street. There are piles of them. With the rain just beginning, it is quite slippery in that location. This is a dangerous hazard created by these idiots.
Hi. Sorry to bother you again, but I wrote earlier today about a vehicle that has been sitting along the curb on our street for at least a year, maybe two. The owners of the vehicle live at 3108 Kensington Park Drive. Thank you for your attention!
I live at Campus Court apartments at 2036 N Walnut Street. Behind the "F" building, there is a narrow lane connecting the parking lots, and the curb is designated as a fire lane. There are two individuals who park in the lane, every single weekday, from approximately 6pm to midnight. I have spoken to them in person and asked them not to park in the fire lane, but they return every day. The apartment management is also aware of this problem. I was hoping that the cars could be towed or cited for parking in a fire lane. Thank you!
On the north side of East Third just east of the 45-46 bypass, someone has plowed a large pile of snow onto the sidewalk between CVS and Arby's, forcing pedestrians into the traffic lane to get through.
On the east side of Kingston Dr. just north of East Third, someone has plowed a large pile of snow onto the sidewalk/pedestrian walkway between MainSource bank and Big Red Liquors. Pedestrians are forced into traffic to get around it. I think there's no sidewalk on the west side of the street, so this is the only way for pedestrians to proceed north on Kingston.
March 1, 2015. Last night a snow plow came only part way down our street (East Maplecrest Drive) as a result of a parked car. It then backed completely out and did not finish the rest of the street. This car has been parked in the same place for over 3 months. We need our street plowed. Please help.
Car blocking sidewalk every evening and weekends. Difficult for neighbors to walk, push strollers and with little kids on bikes. The house owner rents out rooms and has limited parking available. One car parks on the street which breaks HOA rules. They could all fit in the driveway and share keys if a car needs moved. The address is 4301 cricket knoll. The owner is Megan Utley. Thank you, Charlene and Charles Sykes- and other neighbors
Main streets in Bloomington and Normal were plowed and very passable yesterday. However, Chestnut, Allin and Mason streets did not fare the same. I left the facility at 6:00 pm last night and at that time the streets still appeared as if not plowed. In order to get from the lot to the building, staff and patients have to Cross Chestnut. This morning when I came in at 7:30 am, the road conditions were not much better. Although the road did appear to be plowed, we had little mountains to cross at driveway and sidewalk intersections. Since we are a 24 hour facility and have a pretty decent volume of patients (from pediatrics to geriatrics as well as some mobility assistance devices) and staff using this facility, we were wondering if there is a conversation to be had with the city.
