The apartment development on Gourley Pike has just poured a curb that impedes access to W. Cascade Ave. The curb extends into the approach to W. Cascade. There is no longer room for 2 cars to pass one another simultaneously to enter the street
The North/South alley between 810 W. 7th and 804 W. 7th is being encroached upon by gardens, woodpiles, trees/vegetation and possibly the fence and cinder block garage owned by 810 W 7th St. As a result, the alley traffic is being diverted outside of the alley right of way and onto the private property located at 804 W. 7th. This appears to have been going on for a number of years. As the new owner of 804 W. 7th St., it is my full intention to re-claim the property/property line currently being encroached upon and proceed with renovations. I request that the Street Dept contact the owner of 810 W. 7th and order the encroachments be removed. With the assistance of a surveyor, I have located the NW and SW corner pins delineating the right of way and pounded new T posts just outside of the right of way in those spots and plan to post the entire property line once the encroachments are removed. Were I to reclaim the property line today, the alley would become impassible due to said encroachments. I request your assistance in remedying this situation in a civil and legal manner, as requests to the homeowner of 810 W.7th have fallen upon deaf ears. I request that you keep me in the loop regarding this issue. I would be happy to meet with a representative of the street dept, with survey in hand, to assist in clarifying and remedying this issue, as renovations of 804 W. 7th will begin in a few weeks. 7th st (at intersection with maple) fully blocked by downed tree
We are wondering if the E/W stretch of concrete between 707 N. Lincoln and 711 N. Lincoln is an alley (public thoroughfare) or a driveway (private property). If the former, the resident/tenant at 707 has blocked passage through it with stones and a basketball court. We have assumed for a long time that this is actually an alley and would like to be able to walk down this stretch, but if it is indeed private property we would like that made clear so that we not trespass.
I live at 627 N Monroe St Bloomington IN 47404. There is a truck that has been parked across the street from my door for weeks now. It showed up when the new fiber internet company was installing and they haven't been back for weeks now. I'm guessing it's theirs but I'm not positive. No one lives in the house it's parked next to. I do not have a driveway and I've been parking in front of my house for years now. With this parked there it is unsafe for me to park in my normal spot because traffic cannot get through safely. I also don't believe a truck like this should be allowed to just sit if they don't live in this neighborhood. I am forced to park farther down the street and this doesn't seem fair to me since I actually live here. Is there anything that can be done?

The corner of Post Rd as you're approaching Staats on the right hand side is so overgrown with trees cars cannot be in the right lane. We walk to school with our daughter and have often had to get out of the way of traffic b/c this road is effectively 1 lane at the moment. 2 homes, the one at the corner of Staats and Post and the one at the corner of post and "Hollywood" both have shrubs/trees that impede traffic/walkers and make it even more dangerous than it should be. If the owners aren't willing to change this landscaping the city should have the ability to cut considering that the shrubs are covering no less than 3 ft into the street. This is dangerous for cars, walkers, and bike riders in the neighborhood. MUST BE ADDRESSED.
Overgrown plants and flowers are blocking the sidewalk in front of 521 W. 4th St.
The alley behind my business is blocked with Trucks and cars servicing IU building next door. Since IU parking lot is right there why are the trucks blocking the alley. My customers need access to my parking lot and Trucks and cars parked in the alley make it difficult to enter my lot.
As we drive north on Dunn Street (within the Blue Ridge neighborhood), our car is often scraped and scratched by vegetation growing alongside the road. Would it be possible to trim those branches so that cars can avoid being scraped without needing to move into the middle of the road?
