Several years ago stop signs were briefly installed on 10th at Smith and it was wonderful. Then they were pulled and we never try to make a left on 10th from Smith because it's just too dangerous. Would really love a light here. But stopsigns would be awesome.
SE corner of 11th / Morton intersection has tall Tree-of-heavens growing in a clump. The clump hinders visual field for drivers going north on Morton who have stopped at the intersection and are planning to turn. Not clear if this is the responsibility of the City or the property owners. Note that Tree-of-heaven is a noxious invasive and should be removed (that is, dug up) wherever it is seen. It has spread all over town, but no one seems to notice or care. It is a terrible plant.
The bushes alongside the east side of Fairview have grown out and over obscuring the 'no parking' sign. Over the past two years, there has been an increase in commercial vehicles (tree trimmers/landscapers) as well as delivery trucks thinking it is okay to park in front of a stop sign on a slight hill. This is obstructing the view of the intersection and creating a dangerous situation when vehicles are forced into oncoming traffic to pull around the stopped vehicle. Combine that with the reckless drivers who are speeding on 13th street, oftentimes taking the turn from 13th to go south on Fairview at very high speeds, and the result is a dangerous situation. Please improve the line of sight. Thank you.
Greetings. Could someone please cut back the vegetation at the southwest corner of where 11th st. intercepts Fairview. It has blocked visibility from both directions and is causing a safety issue. There is also signage that is being hidden. Thank you kindly! Addendom: I am a pedestrian not a motorist. It has become unsafe for pedestrians at an intersection that is already dangerous due to motorists speeding from three directions. Thank you.
Please assess this intersection (Fairview and 13th) at the top of a slight hill with a stop sign. The massive honeysuckle bush on the east side of Fairview obstructs view of stop sign until you are right up to the stop sign. Additionally, when you are stopped at 13th st and looking east there are oftentimes vehicles parked in front of the residence and the view to the east is blocked. I don't know how the yellow painted curbs to prohibit parking near stop signs are determined but this intersection may need something to prevent vehicles from parking right up to the stop sign. Please consider removing the north-most parking space in front of "Bub's Burgers". When drivers are on 9th Street at the intersection, it is difficult to see oncoming cars approaching from the south on Morton because there is often a large vehicle parked right there blocking the view. If one space were removed - perhaps converted into a bicycle rack island - then it would be easier to see when trying to turn.
Y'all ever going to clean up the overgrowth and trash all over this sidewalk? Can't barely see, and since there's a homeless camp right next to it which you all won't bother to clean up either, it's become dangerous to even use this sidewalk.
Shrub on NE corner of intersection (7th/Washington) is a bit large and blocks line of sight for vehicles on Washington waiting to cross the intersection.
Overgrown trees block stop sign on Kenwood and make it impossible for cars turning left onto Kenwood from Dunn Street to see traffic on Kenwood. Also overgrown trees along Dunn force people to walk in the street - combined with need to pull very far forward on Kenwood to see traffic this has led to 3 close calls (car+car; car+car; car+pedestrian). I thought I submitted in close call but never got uReport number. Perhaps my error or wrong category. Please help prevent accident & take action now that you are aware of the issue. Thank you.
The berm grass is too tall and is creating a line of sight issue as you approach the intersection.
