School bus driver having trouble with overgrown trees and bushes at 430 and 431 E. Wylie.
Ms. Ramey contacted the HAND Dept. regarding a line of site problem. There are bushes on either side of her property line that block her view in trying to get out of her driveway.
When a driver is going south on Palmer Avenue and is looking to the east on Allen Street there are a bunch of weeds that block the line of sight. The weeds/shrubs are in front of the second house to the east (421). The weeds/shrubs hang so far into the street that they cover any cars that park on Allen Street.
There are tree limbs and bushes overhanging the sidewalk causing a "tunnel" effect. The trees and bushes are also blocking a warning sign for the Fire Station plus a traffic regulatory sign.
Line of sight problem, If pulling off of Palmer on to Hillside you can not see around a tree.
MS. VAUGHN STATED THAT THE RESIDENTS AT 412 S HIGH PARK IN A GRAVEL PULL OFF AND THAT IT MAKES IT DIFFICULT FOR VEHICLES WHO ARE TURNING LEFT FROM ATWATER ON TO HIGH STREET AND IT MAKES IT DIFFICLUT FOR HER TO SEE WHEN EXITING HER DRIVEWAY.
Resident stated that when you pull out of Deckard Drive onto 10th Street you cannot see traffic coming from the west because of a tree branch. Can someone check this out? Thanks
MCGLOCKLIN IS A CROSSING GUARD AT THE INTERSECTION OF 2ND & HIGH STREET. ON THE SW CORNER, THERE IS A HOUSE WITH A CHAIN LINK FENCE WITH BUSHES(THE BUSHES ARE ON THE INSIDE OF THE FENCE LINE). THE BUSHES ARE OVERGROWN CAUSING MCGLOCKLIN NOT TO BE ABLE TO SEE THE "WALK/WAIT" SIGNAL AT THIS INTERSECTION TO ALLOW THE CHILDREN TO CROSS. THE OWNER OF THE HOUSE IS: RACHID MAIDI @ 336-5640.
On the South East corner of Grant & Grimes Ln, the neighbor's bushes are blocking the view of traffic. They cannot see to get out of their driveway.
