The manhole covers on 7th are getting loose again and cause a lot of noise when cars drive over them. There is a lot more traffic on 7th traffic on 7th street and you can hear the noise 27/7. A crew came out in June and fixed the problem, but the problem is back. There needs to be some kind of rubber ring installed to abate the noise. The covers are also not seated correctly, making them rattle.
8" water valve cover popped off at Hillside & Dorchester. Eastbound lane of Hillside. Cover at base of stopsign/streetsign SE corner of intersection. This is the 3rd time I've reported this in just over a week (1st 2x's by phone). Why don't you replace with a cover that can be LOCKED DOWN to keep it in place?
Reponse to Jane Fleig. If Hathaway Ct. is not a city street, what kind of street is it? we are all paying city taxes? You said the developer is still responsible for maintenance and issues. The developer went bankrupt and you, the city, let the developer's bond expire. So who's responsibility is it? I believe it is the city's. It's been turned over to you. The raised section of road under the b-line bridge is so sharp and rough it sets off the collision detection in my car at the speed limit. It needs to be graded and resurfaced
5th Street between Jefferson and Union streets is beyond the repair of simply fixing pot holes. Some of the damage on the street is due to property owners fixing their sewer lines and then not repaving the street.
In the 3400 block of S. Cedarwood Circle, the City dug up the road a few months ago, then never came back to finish the job. The road is a mess with missing asphalt and gravel/debris all around. Can the City get back out here this week to fix this and finish up the work they started? Thanks.
The issue from case #179307 has already returned from the recent storms.
The alley next to my house needs to be graded (my car scrapes the middle/high section of the alley). You already did the section that is off of Highland Avenue (thank you!), but the part of the alley that connects to Ballantine Road needs to be done. It starts at the alley entrance from Ballantine Road (503 S. Ballantine Rd) and goes about halfway down the alley. In this area, the middle of the alley needs to be scraped down and gravel added. It would be great if you could add gravel to the whole alley as some sections are muddy after a rain. Thank you.
