City Alley off Grant Street, between 1006 and 1004 South Grant: Mouth of alley has a broken, metal city culvert which is now sunken in. Driving over it is becoming hazardous to cars. In addition, all the stone gravel that covers this culvert has worn away. Entire alley from
South Grant to South Lincoln could use re-graveling. Thank you!

Utility crews cut into the road to install new water connection/meter. The patch of gravel they left behind was hastily and poorly covered with a thin layer of asphalt and is still filled with loose gravel. Cars are flinging gravel all over the street and the whole is getting larger by the day. Please address this soon, as it was a direct result of the city's actions and the poor work of city employees.

Two manhole covers on Sassafras Hill Apartment complex (managed by Hunter Bloomington Properties) have been damaged for over 6 months. As you can see, the damage is quite severe. Rather than fix the issue, HBP has relied on traffic cones/barrels to block traffic from riding over the defective manholes.

The road in front of my house has broken up so badly that it's an eyesore for the entire street. It looks as if the foundation underneath the street has collaped and it's also damaged the drainage ditch in front of my property. My neighbor Jerry Minger called months ago to report this problem but we have had no word from the city. Jerry was told that this issue was "on the list" and would be taken care of when the weather was warm enough. Can you please call me and let me know if this is going to be taken care of? I'm embarrassed for my neighbors. Thank you, Deborah

The road that leads to the Jordan parking garage (University Road?)has a large "pothole" that resulted in a blown tire. I would think this is a university maintained road since it is not on Jordan, but rather the side road that leads to the parking garage, but IU claims it is the city's responsibility. I have attached pictures. It appears this is from construction and/or utility work rather than natural erosion, and there is a sharp and steep edge/drop-off. I did not have a ruler with me, but used a standard size sharpie to show the depth. Using a ruler afterwards, the hard edge/cliff is approximately 5 inches. In the dark at night there is no lighting, and when making a left onto that road there is no way to see it with your headlights. In addition to requesting that the hole be repaired, I would like to receive reimbursement for the damaged (flat, non repairable)tire. Thank you for your time.

Potholes in alley have been reported multiple times. The road crew filled them with gray ash/dirt (not gravel), which promptly washed away leaving the potholes remaining. Please consider refilling these with gravel this time. Thank you.
