Taylor or Young or both trucking is hauling dirt to the quarry behind the motels on Rd46 and as they leave the road they are making a mess and not cleaning it up. Part of the road was recently repaved because of them and now they need to clean up the road all the time not just when they feel like it. I keep my cars clean and I should not have to drive though dirt and mud to leave my house.
I have previously submitted uReport on this. Definitely appears to be a sinkhole. Much deeper and cone can fully sit inside. The road under appears caving in. I have more pictures if needed. I can only attach one.
Construction site workers have removed a portion of the dumpster enclosure on the alley, sitting at the NW corner of 325 E. 10th property parking lot. This left a dangerous 6" square hole where a support post had previous been. Not clear if the hole is on private property or in the alley, but it is dangerous now for people or small animals.
Part tectonic plate, part aircraft carrier bulkhead--Houston, we have a problem. It would seem that some utility repair of another has resulted in a steel plate the thickness of a very hefty mozzarella stick, length and width that could probably park a Smart Car, in the middle of the road. I suspect this formidable obstacle is the result of whatever adventure IU tasked itself with over winter break, as I observed their vehicles there, but that's not to say I'm 100% positive. Either way, the impact of this scrapper's dream was presumably originally mitigated with the pouring of some cold patch concrete around the edges, but alas, much has changed since. Tire impact after tire impact has slowly moved this plate, rendering the cold patch mostly useless. As steam billows out from around the edges, I imagine whatever was being fixed is still in the process of being fixed. But at the moment, it's like witnessing suspension-damaging continental drift. Aside from mounting this hulking piece of metal in a museum as a replicated piece of the Titanic's hull, creating a more subtle transition from pavement to metal would very much be appreciated. Center point gas repair patch needs looked at. 3 of them
There is a hole in the street left from utility work. It had been filled but has sunk. There is now a deep hole, about 8inches deep. There is no sidewalk on this part of Palmer. Someone could step in that hole, especially at night, and break a bone. It is on Palmer just south of Grimes, east side of the street.
There a deep pothole next to the north crosswalk near the westside Bloomingfoods--about a dozen feet from the Bfoods--a real ankle breaker. It seems like the Gigabit now crew drilled the hole, covered it, but the cover has come off. I already heard someone in Bloomingfoods complaining loudly that he had twisted his ankle falling into the hole. Someone placed a milk crate over it, but it is in Madison St, so that might cause an accident. THis is dangerous and needs attention soon. Thanks!
Workers cut a hole in the blacktop and the fix isn't holding.
Picture is on property of 206 s Fairview and looking east. Huge hole. Unclear if sinkhole as area of old quarry or if recent digging for fiber optic contributing. Hole is about 1 ft across and about 2 foot wide. It caverns under the road slightly and appears to go deeper under the property on 206. Since there is no side walk, people often walk on the grass in that exact area. I walk this way often and first time seeing it this evening.
Large potholes have been created in the Alleyway going east to west as well as right behind my garage. Issue is due to subterranean digging by fiber optics company, as well as previous digging by gas company.
