Threlkeld, James Shannon ā€‹ info@bloomington.in.gov ā€‹ Hello, Commercial Service has illegally parked their commercial trucks in our upscale neighborhood (average home value is 750K) every day for the last 30 days. It is parked at 3954 E. Fenbrook Ln. Bloomington 47401. They have been parking other vehicles (smaller) periodically since June of 2023. Now it's every day and with their large commercial trucks. I have posted to Ureport with no success. This is no different than parking RVs or boats in residential neighborhoods. The presence of these trucks puts downward pressure on the value of the homes in this neighborhood. Who wants to pay over 750,000 for a house with big commercial trucks parked in the driveway next door every evening when they come home and all day on the weekends? This is what Commercial Services is doing in this neighborhood. Just so you know, I have made three phone calls to the company asking them to stop parking these trucks overnight and on the weekends in our neighborhood.

They often park on the side of the road in the easement and in front of the mailbox on Hopewell Street, blocking access to the mailbox. They also park on the corner of 8th and Hopewell Streets making it difficult to see traffic turning onto Hopewell and it makes it hard to see when turning onto 8th St. There are big, muddy ruts in the easement along side this property from where they park there. There are often 3-4 vehicles parked there at any given time.
