On Sunday evening I caught some photos of a loose dog on Southdowns between Manor and Hawthorne. The dog is frequently out on its own and tends to stay within that block roughly. It lives in a red house on Southdowns. My main concern is that this Sunday I was on a walk and observed the dog almost get hit by two vehicles in the road, I had to re-route my walk with my dog because this dog was at-large with an unknown temperament, and the dog also went to the bathroom in the grass by the creek without being cleaned up by the owners (due to being oblivious to where their dog was at the time). Is there anything that can be done to try to keep the dog safe and other drivers and pedestrians safe too? Thanks.

The owners of a dog living at 1011 N. Orris Dr. let the dog have free-range on the street without supervision and the dog is be aggressive towards other dogs. The dog has aggressively approached me and my leashed dog multiple times over the past few years. The dog has not attempted to attack my dog in those instances but, without my intervention, it seemed likely that it would have. The dog appears to be an Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix.

My neighbor might be running a dog business out of her (i think its a girl but idk) house and its making the neighborhood dangerous. Dogs are barking all of the time. Sometimes dogs sound like they’re fighting and she yells at them. She has wolf dogs that escape her backyard all of the time. I’m scared to let my kids play in our backyard because it isn’t fenced and she doesn’t have control over the dogs. People are always dropping off and picking up dogs from her house so idk if the dogs are even hers. Please help. We live near RCA park and I cant even let my kids walk to the park because im scared theyll get bitten. Supposed to be a quiet family neighborhood but now I want to move so my kids can be safe. Hello, My name is Claire Austin and I am creating a speech for Zionsville Community High School about why you should adopt rather than shop. I have a few questions I would appreciate you answering. 1. Why should someone choose to adopt a dog rather than go to a breeder? 2. Have you ever had a time in which the shelter was 100% empty? If so, what happened next? Where there more dogs imported? 3. On average, how many animals are euthanized in your shelter? Is that process painful to the animals? A neighborhood deer died of natural causes (disease?) this past Monday March 26th on the sidewalk on the side of my house at 425 E Dodds St. We immediately called the city to report it and were told someone could come remove it on Tuesday or Wednesday. We called again Wednesday late afternoon and were told someone would probably come Thursday to remove it. It is now Friday evening, March 30th, and no one has come or contacted me. The deer is now decaying and something is starting to eat it at night. As the Bryan Park neighborhood have homes quite close together, I'm afraid the smell will start to bother the neighbor, and I'm afraid that the dead animal is becoming a health hazard and will spread disease. I was told when I called on Wednesday no one had come to remove it yet because the vehicle that is typically used was out of service, but that it would probably be back in service on Thursday. If the vehicle is not yet back in service, the city should hire a contractor to come remove the deer - I would have done so myself at the beginning of the week if I had known it was going to be left rotting all week. Thanks for your assistance, and for everyone's peace of mind I have not attached a picture.
