Sherwood oaks park tennis courts appear to have been vandalized. The court closest to the creek has a bent standard and the net is gone. I am pretty sure the net was there on Friday.
The water fountains along Jackson Creek Trail at the playground area were not functioning last night.
People are driving through the park full of children.
Hi, The water to both of the water taps at the Fergusan Dog park are turned off. They were working fine last week. Now withe the hot weather and rain these are used heavily and need to be fixed. Thanks, Dirk Fraser
In today's H-T Hotline section quotes from Mick Renneisen indicate you can fish at Weimer Lake in the Wapehani Mountain Bike Park. Is this correct and do you need an Indiana fishing license to do so?
South East Park: 1 of the 2 Toddler Spring Toys is broken & missing pieces. I'm concerned about safety.
My family was at Bryan Pool on Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm. After an hour of swimming the children were made to leave the pool for adult swim. Twenty minutes is a very long time for a child and since we could only stay for two hours it really limited our swimtime. I overheard comments from several adults that were also unaware of the adult swim rule. Additionally, two young children came in and unaware of your policy stepped into the pool only to be yelled at by the lifeguard. The girls were so embarrassed they ran to their mothers in tears. What is the puropse of this extended time out? There were only a handful of adults in the pool and most felt bad that their children couldn't join them.
My question is about the lack of mowing in the middle of Sherwood Oaks Park. Is the plan for this park to make the old football field into woods? The trees in there are several years old now and beginning to shade the "trail" around the park. Shoudn't someone bush-hog this part of the park? One of the things I have always enjoyed about this park is the black raspberries that grow on the western side of the old field. The new trees in the middle are starting to shade this area, and soon those berries will fade away, as they prefer "edges" with sun to the east of them. The same sort of thing is happening in Olcott park, so I am guessing that this is part of your plan, but if it is not a real plan, can someone come and cut all that brush down? Thanks! Kim
I wanted to comment on the no pet rule in your park. We came here for 16 u nationals( which where run very nicely) and we brought our pet. I understand the no pet policy, but when you host an event like this, it is OK to make exceptions. Most pets that travel 3-4 hours are not going to be a problem. When you in vite people into your community, you need to open up the hospitality a little. The hotel we stayed at had a no pet policy, but allowed us to keep our 100# St Benard pup in our room at no additional charge. ( they made an exception). I'm just disappointed I had to sit beyond the outfield fences
