Called and spoke with Judy Seigle regarding the poor condition of RCA Park. There are 2 local high school rugby teams using the field for practice and the grass is so high they can't use it. She said they had reserved the field with a BPR staff member, but couldn't say who it was.

Hi, Seven Oaks Classical Charter School is having a pig roast and silent auction at Bryan Park in June for a fundraiser. I looked through the rules and regs but didn't see anything about having a band/music. *Are those who rent a space at the park allowed to have a music band? Please let me know. Thanks, Linda

The condition of Miller Shower park is getting worse day by day. It was clean and beautiful last fall but now it is covered with water plants and getting worse. Is it due to lack of funds that there is not maintenance?

Dear Ms. Granger,
I am writing to you again this year about the "encampment" of vagrants near Cascades Park in your council district. Located near the corner of N. College and Old 37 it is a threat to the health and safety of our community. Children play in the water downstream from this filth. Thank goodness the disabled child recently lost in Cascades did not wander into this place. The fact that this "encampment" is on a parcel of land owned by the state is hardly an excuse to allow it to exist so close to a city park frequented by families with children.
Please do something about this.
Cordially,
Ron Clees

I am the philanthropy chair for a large organization on IU's campus and wanted to work with the city on finding a location where we could hold an event to benefit the boys and girls club.. An old baseball field would be perfect. Please feel free to email or call me so i can get in contact with anyone who could help.

Park Ridge East tennis courts are looking fantastic! Thanks for resurfacing! When will nets be put back? Are other city courts scheduled to be resurfaced?

Hello there,
My name is Yuzhen, and I live in Kensington park. We have been enjoying the Schmalz Farm Park in the neighborhood. My son loved to play in the playground in the park. He is a big kid now, and he likes sport more. So do his friends in the neighborhood! It seems to me that most of the parks in Bloomington have some kind of sports facility (neat!). I wonder if the city has any plan for building sports facility in the Schmalz Farm Park (a basketball court would be lovely, but any kind of sports facility will be great:)).
Thanks much for your consideration.
Best,
Yuzhen Ye

At the Ferguson Dog Park there is a large puddle the size of a large bathtub located near the shade shelter. At the moment it is full of green water, after a week or so it becomes a mud wallow with mud the consistency of glue. This feature never dries out and remains a continuing dog magnet. Even with the hose it is not easy to clean them up after they roll in it. A pickup load of gravel or wood chips would be greatly appreciated by many dog owners. Thanks(it is a great park for the dogs!)
