I walk my dog at Winslow Sports Complex early in the morning and the lights have been on recently due to repair work (I like having the lights on while walking my dog). Will they still be on moving forward? Please let me know, thank you.
Hi! I am concerned that the fencing going up around the dog park areas of the Switchyard Park has not been done right. The soil has not been backfilled around the post bases, and the fencing and sod are being finished anyway, leaving extremely large gaps under the fencing--large enough for my 40-lb beagle mix to fit under, as well as many other dogs. Just wanted to make sure those in charge know. I know it is a very large-scale project with many details to keep up with, but it seems much easier and more cost-effective for it to be fixed sooner (while dirt and equipment are still on site) than later (when the park is completely finished and people start losing their dogs under the fence). Thank you for your attention on this matter! Otherwise I am so excited about the park and it is looking great!
Thank you for removing the leaves from Park Ridge Park!!!!!! I am sure that will make an impact next season in terms of making the sloped areas of the park less likely to suffer from erosion over the winter (given the straw mulch and seed put down) and then aid in rejuvenating the grass in those areas, again leading to less erosion, less maintenance, and a better park for the neighborhood and the city! I tried opening a ticket a few days ago about the need for a trashcan at the Switchyard Skate Park, but I apparently should not have put it under the ticket that relates to trash, as it simply got redirected to three different people and was then responded with a generic HAND response. This is city property. There is already trash beginning to pile up, and a lot of it is blowing around the construction. Please bring in a trash can. I would likely also be the one who will walk around and pick up the trash to put it in the bin.
The skatepark at Switchyard now has someone being paid to kick people out. How is this place any more of a liability than having a massive, very, very poorly off fenced construction site with a public trail going through it any less of a liability? Close the b-line or be fair and let skaters use the skatepark. It makes no sense.
All parks should have at least one bike rack. I don't see one at Park ridge park even though on a bike trail?
At 8:30 AM Thursday a group of "campers" were packing up, after a nights sleep perhaps, at the large shelter located towards the back of RCA park.
I went to the RCA Park yesterday looking for the pickleball courts that I saw were located here when I searched on line. When I saw this sign I was confused. I didn't see any sign for pickleball so I thought I had the wrong place. I was about ready to leave when I finally noticed the pickleball courts beside the tennis courts. Why not put up a sign up for the pickleball courts to avoid confusion for others. Thank you

The drinking fountain by the playground in Southeast park seems not to drain properly - all the water pours out underneath the bowl.
