My name is Lauren and I am the facilities manager at Middle Way House. Yesterday afternoon I found a gas string trimmer tucked behind some bushes in our garden bed. This seemed suspicious so I brought it inside. Does this belong to the landscaping crew?

Bryan park is a gem with its rolling hills and lovely planting season. The place ment of solar panels destroys the view shed and puts an ugly scar on the landscape. Could not the panels been put on the roof of the pool building? Furthermore, those of us entering from Woodlawn will not be able to see into the park making it much less safe.

Poop in the dogpark. Several months ago both the supply of bags and the container for used bags were moved from within the dog fields themselves to an area within the double gate entry area. Perhaps this was an attempt at efficency but it has had a sigificanlty adverse affect on the conditions in the park itself with much more poop being left on the ground and more full bags being left scattered around the park. Yesterday I picked up 11 full bags left out in the field and this is not uncommon. Both the bags and the refuse containers need to be returned to their original spots to turn this trend around. I purchased a golf membership at Cascades on 7/24/2017. I am very upset with a few things. One, they did not inform me that 1/3 of the course was going to be closed for 18 months. Secondly, many people play golf in the winter, and they have been closed on many playable days. I have played the last 2 Sundays at Rolling Meadows, and Cascades has been closed both days. I feel like I got ripped off buying this membership, and want to cancel it with some kind of partial refund. Please email me with a response to this.

A vehicle drove through park of Park Ridge Park. The ground was apparently quite wet so the area of the park where the vehicle drove is quite damaged. The damaged location is the part of the park immediately adjacent to the Polly Grimshaw Trail and it needs some attention prior to the season starting in earnest to prevent further damage in that area from erosion on the now exposed ground. Also, some one dug out the the ground and mulch underneath one of the park swings significantly enough that there is quite a pit underneath the western swing and that area needs repair. As a somewhat different note which is more just routine maintenance, a plank on the wooden fence next to the trail head has come loose and fallen (on the northern part of the fence). Also, the leaves from the oak trees have not been removed or otherwise been blown away over winter. Previously this situation has lead to a lack of grass leading to significant erosion and damage to the park terrain. I am guessing the leaves should probably be removed soon, ideally in the fall. Last season, the parks team worked hard to mitigate this issue and it would be a pity to see hard work washed so to speak. On that note, I would like to thank the parks maintenance team for the quick responses to previous requests and concerns that have been made about this park and trail. Thanks a lot! I was really impressed with how easy the whole team was to work with as well as how responsive everyone was to the needs of both the park and the neighborhood. Thanks again!

Most of the links on the Deer Task Force Page are not linked properly. (https://bloomington.in.gov/boards/deertaskforce) No POC link on page for follow up of the Deer Task Force Report. Report is 6 years old. What's the current status? Griffy Lake has been culled. What about Residential Bloomington as there is no movement between Griffy Lake and Residential Bloomington? There is a growing population in Residential Bloomington.

I took my 3 year old son to Bryan Park yesterday and a man had a dog with him that was poorly restrained (on a 25 foot cable). My son was running towards the toddler playground when the dog ran after him and knocked him down. The dog was on top of my child for several seconds and while the dog didn't harm my son, it was a very frightening experience for him. I don't want him to be afraid of dogs, and I've been trying to teach him to appreciate animal companionship. I don't know what the rules are for leashes in Bryan Park, but dogs need to be handled better, especially near or around the kids' playgrounds. I didn't get the man's name or information but I took a picture. He was walking on a bright orange tightrope and he had a white dog (young, probably a puppy - this is the one that chased my son) and a black dog.
