There have been numerous reports that the east side old Kmart will become more dreaded apartments instead of a planned development or condos for ownership. Please consider Parks’ role in this area; your master plan wants to increase park land/greenspace per resident on the east side. I believe us tax payers and permanent residents of Bloomington would support a conversion of an eyesore into a greenspace with potential to have more markets (as they are occurring in this area as competition already) and programming.

There are frequently creepy older men hanging around the Upper Cascades Park and Playground area. The same vehicles are often seen, with the occupants hanging around, then acting shifty and walking into the woods when another car approaches and that occupant also walks into the woods. The individuals then exit the woods at or close to the same time. Sometimes, the cars just park next to each other briefly and then leave. Then the "regular" car returns and waits for another vehicle to approach. Taken all together, it looks like drug deals going down on the regular. There is also litter all over the walking path in the woods and the Lions' Den picnic shelter.

Good morning. I have a memorial scheduled at the Sycamore Shelter at Cascades Park this Saturday. I'd like to Zoom the event for folks who can't attend, and I'm just wondering if there's internet access out there. It would be easier to do it over the internet, rather than to use my phone. My not yet one and a half year old tried to use one of the baby swings (the baby swing closest to the shelter) at Lion's Den shelter/Upper Cascades playground. The holes are so small we could barely get her feet through and had to remove her shoes to do so. The band between her legs was too wide and the seat made her sit awkwardly. When the larger seat was available we switched to it and I noticed her knees and thighs were dirty, red, and irritated, as well as had indentation marks from the swing. (You can see the swing responsible in the background of the picture showing what it did to her leg in just a few minutes.) We were only in it for a few minutes. This is the first time we've ever encountered a problem with any baby swing. It needs to be adjusted or replaced.

Lots of speeding next to Park Ridge East Park, especially around corner of Morningside to Summerhouse. Was told they would have speed bump when constructed. Kids are definitely at risk. Can Summerhouse get a speed bump next to park or even removable road barriers or something. They should be using 3rd. But at least go slow next to kids.
