Mr. Ward called to let us know that on several occasions he has seen folks drive back to the Wapehani Bike Park and dump brush and other debris. He knows what they're doing is illegal but doesn't want to get in trouble trying to catch them! He lives at the corner of Wapehani/Weimer roads and uses the park frequently and wants to see it taken care of.
Also, has some questions about off-roading in the big open field by the park.

Can Olcott Park change out several if their "big kid" swings to toddler/baby swings???? The big kid swings are always empty and the toddler/baby swings usually have a wait.

Heather called and said there are older kids vandalizing the playground equipment and benches at Crestmont Park. She took her kids there yesterday and got paint all over her hair and clothes. She also said they are urinating on the slide(s) at night. Wants to know if we can do something about it. Please contact her.

Ms. Hessman called Chris Truelock to offer free paint and other materials for the BBCC. When Chris went to Lowe's to pick upthe goods - Gayla said she called the BBCC because her two sons had gone there for various programs and had a great time. She said she found their experiences very positive.

Banneker Center: Ms. McKibben attended a lecture about gangs and was upset to find out they could exist in Blmtn. She contacted the probation dept and the Police Dept who told her the areas of greatest gang activity was BBCC, Kirkwood and the Mall. She withdrew both her children the Teen X-Treme Camp and wanted to know why we had not informed her of the risk. She questioned whether P&R was "burying their heads in the sand" about gang issues.

Banneker Center: Ms. Inskip reported that her children were threatened by a teenager at the center. The teen threatened to kill them. Teen was described as a white male, glasses, long hair, wearing a green shirt.

cALLER GOES TO 3RD ST. PARK ON HER LUNCH HOUR W/CO-WORKERS TO EAT. SHE SAYS IT SEEMS THERE ARE FEWER AND FEWER PICNIC TABLES FOR THEM TO EAT AT AND DOESN'T WANT TO STOP GOING TO PARK. WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE PICNIC TABLES AND WOULD DEFINITELY LIKE A CALL BACK ASAP.
