Hole opened up very recently. Bryan Park, near where the feeder enters Sheridan Creek. Wasn't there a few days ago. It's quite visible so not as dangerous, but still it might be wise to fill it in.
This hole at Bryan Park is not so obvious and ir's therefore more likely someone might step in it and fall, twist an ankle, etc. So it would be good to fill it in. Gravel first, then dirt?
Hi, First, thank you for removing the leaves from Park Ridge Park, the excellent park in the Park Ridge neighborhood, in April. Now, it seems like it is in need of a little bit of post-winter care. The areas where the leaves laid overwinter have become bare (see the picture). This is a spot that the Parks Department has worked hard trying to recover before and I suppose it is time work on it again. There are also other bare spots in the park where leaves had laid over winter (by the shelter - to the east) and for some unknown reason to the south of the swings. Could these areas please be addressed with grass seed and straw to make sure that park stays maintainable, that the structures don't end being compromised by erosion, and to make the park less of a mess after a rain? Also, the mulch covering the area underneath the playground structure may need refilled, in particular underneath the swings. Finally, is there a regular schedule under which these aspects of the park(s) get addressed? I am sure there are priorities and limited resources. We do not want to bother the department - if we knew that this maintenance would be done (based on a known schedule), then we would only have the thank yous to include instead of a thank you and a request. Case #168067 should closed now. The grounds crew has been diligent in mowing. The photo above was taken this morning. Last year at this time that bald cypress was surrounded by ragweed several feet high.
Follow up on case #168883 about trees and vines growing up around the Norway spruce on the east side of the park between the tennis courts and the Woodlawn Shelter. I got an email saying that the issue had been resolved. It has not, unless that means it has been reported to the groundskeepers for clean up in the fall. Please clarify. Thanks!
Swing set Karst has significant damage. It's also not anchored. The legs on this end were shifting as I used it.
Broken memorial tree marker. I don't know what your policy is about these, but it seems sad for it to be in such bad shape.
