Ms. Anderson wrote to say how beautiful the garden plantings around town are, especially the areas around the Showers Bldg. She feels the flowers are well chosen and artfully planted and they contribute a great deal to the beauty of the city. Also, complimented the staff on the wildflower planting north of Miller Showers. (see attached letter).
Sherwood Oaks Park: 1. Need more trash bins. 2. High school students use area as parking spot. 3. Frequently glass on tennis courts. 4. Park not well maintained. 5. Sewers overflowing. 6. Fallen trees.
Jackson Creek Middle School Park: Some children are in trucks going through and tearing up the park. Police were notified at the same time of this situation.
Wildflower planting in Miller Showers Park: Going north on college you can't see on-coming traffic. Across from the hotel when you cut across you can't see cars coming south -- almost had a wreck.
Park Square Park: Just mowed and did not pick up limbs - her husband picked up the debris himself. Very upset over this because they mow around it - they are piled up by trees. Do not like to look at the eye sore. This has been going on for 2 years. Wants the branches picked up ASAP!
Commendation: A woman called to commend the staff on the ECCENTRIC programs. She said that, although she has not been able to attend all events, she thinks that the series is wonderful!
Rails to Trails: Hedge along edge of trail on Winslow where tracks end (across from where on-line plastics used to be Rose & Walker across street) needs to be trimmed back - very dangerous - can't see traffic - gets trimmed once in a great while - need to be sure it is done on a regular basis! She will call back if not done in a week.
Bryan Park Basketball Court: the basketball rims are made in such a way that the ball goes in and out instead of through. He says that is they reason why games take so long and people are always waiting for a court to use.
BRYAN POOL: HER LITTLE BOY SLIPPED AND CUT HIS FOOT ON THE FLOOR AND WOULD LIKE FOR US TO TAKE A LOOK AT IT. SHE SAID THE LIFEGUARDS WERE VERY HELPFUL AND TOLD HER THAT THEY SWEPT THE AREA THAT HE CUT HIS FOOT, BUT SHE WANTS TO FIND OUT WHAT HE CUT HIS FOOT ON. SHE IS TAKING HIM TO TO DOCTOR TODAY TO HAVE THEM TAKE A LOOK AT IT.
