broken handle of play structure at Bryan Park
The parking lot in Bryan Park near the sand volleyball court along Henderson has a problem. On the north side of the main play structure in the play surface there is a decent sized hole. This hole is big enough that a child or adult could easily step in it and be injured. The hole is through a rubber type play surface covering the ground. I'd recommend repairing this if possible.
Limestone Rail Trail: Ms. Tilford walked the trail and reported barriers and no trespassing signs behind Dillman Treatment Plant. She asked if that area is private property. Farther south she said cows are grazing on the right-of-way. She asked if the Rail Trail Conservancy might be able to help. She is a member and trail supporter.
As a parent of a developmentally disabled adult and Special Olympics coach, Mr. Murphy wrote to thank the Dept for including golf in the BPR SO program. Espcially commended Jennifer Phillips and staff who recruited great volunteers, the best in 3 years! See letter.
BACC: Disappointed w/location & appearance of the center. Had friend who came to visit and refused to retire here due to the center. "Empty storefront" appearance. Has complained before and would like a call back on this. Should visit Lafayette - it is nice.
Ms. Hessman called Chris Truelock to offer free paint and other materials for the BBCC. When Chris went to Lowe's to pick upthe goods - Gayla said she called the BBCC because her two sons had gone there for various programs and had a great time. She said she found their experiences very positive.
A man was assisted by Cindy Miller in the parking lot. He asked the receptionist if she was a city employee and when he was told "yes," he said "the City should have more like her, very helpful, etc."
Truck #876 - hauling limbs - caught limbs in her back windows. Says he needs to be more careful when hauling debris, maybe load his truck better!
Farmers Market: Dr. Walcher has gone to the market twice. Both times he saw dogs. This is unacceptable - wants signs posted that this is against board of health regulations. (Dr. Walcher is a retired physician and has worked for the board of health in the past). If the number of pets at the market doesn't improve, he will be very upset.
