Lights on the pickleball court shine brightly into the neighboring yards, even the back yards on the south side of the street on RCA Park Dr. Tree foliage blocks some of the light in the summer, but it's like a football stadium in the winter. I understand they are supposed to be on a timer but people play at all hours. Can a light shield be installed, or some other solution found? Trying to get ahead of this before winter.
Please mow at The Forge 642 N. Madison St. Field is very tall and overgrown. Has not been mown in several weeks. Also, softball field at Rev. Ernest D. Butler Park (812 W. 9th St.) needs to be mowed as well. Thank you!
Depression filled with black water and debris and surrounded by soft black earth that smells like manure in a cow pasture on September 12, 2026. It is adjacent to far end of the gravel path inside the small dog park area.

Missing bike rack - there used to be a bike rack just to the north of the splash pad that I used frequently. During our Monday and Wednesday community run group meetings that meet at that location (6pm), the bike rack was frequently full. The bike rack disappeared some time last week with no apparent explanation. Perhaps the city could partner with a nearby bike shop (Bike Garage, just up the street) to replace that well-used bike rack?
Will the bike rack by the splash pad be returned or was it moved somewhere else? It is nice to have the bike rack near the restrooms.
There is a guy hitting golf balls at the park essentially using the field as a driving range.
In the Southeast Park tennis courts: there are yellow jackets living in one of the net support poles. They are in the eastern support pole of the West court. We were there last night and 3 yellow jackets were standing guard on top of the support pole, so we left to use the Bryan Park courts instead.
My family and I were at Olcott Park at 11 am today (9/6/26). While there, 3 young boys on electric bikes rode down the trails quickly, "gunning" their motors loudly (too fast for such a public place). I was concerned about the children playing in the playground and walking through the park. Also, these individuals rode their electric bikes on the soccer fields. Due to the amount of dirt that was disturbed and blowing into the environment, I believe they might have damaged the field with their electric bikes. There was no parental supervision as far as I could tell. I'm wondering if there is a contact number one could call while things like this are happening? Submitting this report seems to be too late as I don't know their identities for follow-up. Thank you.
