The trash and recycling bins were on the sidewalk in front of the house this evening (Thursday). Since the bins were full and their trash day is Monday, I suspect the bins were placed out 4 days early.
One of the people that lives on this street has 4 cars parked bumper to bumper - obviously not using any of the cars. These 4 cars (one car, two SUVs, and a truck) are taking up lots of street parking that could be utilized by other people around this street. Although street parking is free on South Washington, these 4 cars are owned by one person and are never moved. If they were utilized more often, I wouldn't have complaints. It is obvious that someone has said something to the owner of these cars because they were spread out on the street a few weeks ago and they are now parked bumper to bumper. I am not sure if anything can be done about this, but I feel that is it unfair to take up 4 parking spots when parking is limited in Bloomington. Picture is not uploading.
Northern curb of arch haven Ave where it intersects parallel path along landmark Ave is only raised curb on this path between 3rd st/Bloomfield Ave. This raised curb is dangerous on a bike.

Sidwalk hazards on Henderson side of 600 E. Maxell: poison ivy growing adjacent, tall weeks on both sides of sidewalk, a pile of dirt on sidewalk never removed...now packed down but a barrier for disabled.
I'm not sure if this is the proper way to report this, but there is a very dangerous crosswalk where I've almost been hit multiple times and I have seen the same thing with other pedestrians. The problem is when crossing from the NE corner of 10th and Walnut to the NW corner. The problems result from the fact that 1) the crosswalk is obscured from view for drivers on 10th coming from the East and 2) the stop line for those drivers is back from the intersection to allow for trucking turning E on 10th from Walnut. The result is that pedestrians start to cross on the walk signal but the drivers turning right from 10th have a bit of speed by the time they can even see anyone in the crosswalk and frequently can't stop in time when they come upon a walker. The only real safe way to navigate that crosswalk as a pedestrian is to just not use the actual crosswalk (eg. stay way to the left almost in the lane of traffic so you are even seen). If you try crossing there at 5pm any day of the week, you will immediately see what I'm talking about. ;) I'm not sure what the solution is but I just know it is very dangerous. At a bare minimum, I would suggest removing the bush at the NE corner to increase visibility but even then the layout of that corner is dangerous so perhaps someone can take a look and see if anything can be done? Just wanted to make you aware There are no curb cutouts on the sidewalk in front of 606 S. College Ave. I hope this will be fixed to make it safe for wheelchairs and stroller users. Thanks
Near 612 N Walnut Street, there is the remnant of a light pole sticking up from the sidewalk causing a tripping hazard.
At the NW corner of the intersection of 12th and Fess, there is a relatively new, ADA-compliant sidewalk/curb installation. There may be physical and/or legal reasons for having the center, raised concrete portion present, but it is not obvious and as a result is a trip hazard. We have tripped on it several times. There is a current project at the same intersection, so we were hoping that they could redo it or at least paint the section yellow so that it stands out. It is dangerous the way it is now.
