Follow up on uReport Case #158991: In spring of 2017 I filed a report with the city about the downspout drainage from my neighbor's property (2802 S Forrester), which dispenses rainwater directly onto the sidewalk in front of my house. They were issued a notice by the city, and they cut back the relevant downspout as indicated in the resolution of the ticket. However, thereafter they built a masonry channel from the end of the downspout that continues to direct the rainwater from the downspout onto the sidewalk in front of my property. When it rains moderately or heavily, the sidewalk on my property turns into a river, still, and in the seasonal transition to and from winter, the sidewalk winds up coated with ice. They masonry channel is topped with a plywood cover that is disguised with landscape rocks. I wanted to talk with them about this directly rather than file a report, but for 3 weeks I have not seen them at their house. Their house is reportedly under contract for sale, and I think it only fair that this issue be resolved (ideally by extending the drainage under the sidewalk to the curb so it no longer causes a negative impact on my property) before they sell it, so that new owners do not have to correct something they are not responsible for. The part of the curb on the West side of Sare Rd, as showed in the picture, protrudes into the lane unexpectedly and narrows it. As you can see it has black tire marks and the cement is chipped as well – indicating that cars hot the curb all the time. We walk or run there every day and this is an accident waiting to happened. A few days ago, as we were walking along, an SUV hit the curb, right there, and continued to weave for 50 yards. If it had jumped the curb we would have been hit. Generally speaking the walking path is too close to the road and a guard rail should be installed between the Hyde Park Village and at least to Spicewood.

The roundabout just east of Sherwood Oaks Church.. Sare road. I reported a piece of concrete there on east side of roundabout.. Sunday I noticed it was still there and wanted to let you know again. It’s not a big deal but I enjoy the roundabouts and this broken concrete is an eyesore Also the roundabout west of Sherwood Osks church aft High street and Goat park has a broken curb section and concrete chunk on west side of roundabout Thanks

Accessibility Issue: No Curb Cut. Intersection of E Covenanter and the entry to Kroger's gas station (unnamed road) This intersection has no curb cut which forces wheelchair users to go out into the street, which is a traffic hazard and dangerous. Please fix.

Sidewalk and driveway entrance concrete is torn up and needs to be repaired. My wife is blind and just walking in front of our house is dangerous for her and anyone walking by.

We recently had a tree removed from the spot shown,  as well as having a tree trimmed on the other side of our driveway. The tree that was removed was rotted out as it was deemed unsafe. We moved to this location in 2019 with a new baby on the way. Fast forward 2 years and just after the tree was removed by the City  of Bloomington, our now 2 y/o plays in front of our house and has now fallen multiple times because of the drop off on the sidewalk due to the tree roots that have lifted the sidewalk. Additionally, small animals have now made this area their home. This is the same problem on the opposite side of our driveway by the electrical boxes due to overgrown root systems of trees that were frankly too large to plant in there specific spots.The lift in the sidewalk from the tree roots has caused a major trip/fall hazards that are at least a 6in drop. Please advise.
