About 20ft back from the southwest corner of 8th and Washington (between the street and the sidewalk) there is the bottom/stump of what was maybe a parking sign. If moving to the side to allow someone to pass on sidewalk or more likely someone getting out of the passenger side of a car could injure themselves, especially at night. Please remove or replace. Hello, on the northwest side of this intersection, after dark, it is very hard to see between the two raised medians for traffic turning left (west) onto 10th Street from the bypass.
The curb in front of my house has heaved to the point where pulling into my driveway is damaging my cars. Both curbs need to be removed and replaced. The road in front of the curb is also breaking up and needs to be repaved.
Two blocks of east Kirkwood st seem to be closed off. I am asking if this is permanent? I understand its allowing out side dining which is nice. However there is a great shortage of parking in downtown. Removing 2 whole blocks of parking means that I'll never be able to park and use the restaurants that are at those locations. I cant use the library for the same reason. So I understand that this is good for students but it's bad for residents. And I think over all bad for business. I hope that after the virus scare is over you have plans to reopen parking there. What is the plan? Thanks
The sidewalk out front of Chow Bar on Indiana Avenue has a hole in it that could be dangerous as it is big enough to consume at least the toe of an adult shoe, most of a child's shoe, and all of a dog's paw. The hole is right by a manhole cover.
Sidewalk is nothing but ice. I just about fell.
The snow on the west sidewalk is piled up so high it is impossible to walk through. It is more snow than nearby un-shoveled areas. It creates a dangerous situation for pedestrians, forcing them to the street.
This shop, Quality Imports Service, regularly parks in front of the yellow 'no parking' curb. When there is a vehicle parked up near the stop sign it makes the intersection more dangerous than it already is. Thank you.
This “historic fieldstone sidewalk” is a TOTAL DISASTER to actually walk on. My teenage son walks, but has limited mobility and requires support to stay upright. This sidewalk was completely unsafe for him to use. We had to cross mid-block on Dunn (also not very safe) to a usable sidewalk on the west side of the street. This may be “historic” but it is NOT ADA compliant. Please make this sidewalk safe for all to use.
A metal tree grate is raised up and exposed causing hazardous walking conditions.
