Grass growing through sidewalk on Maple St. side of property.
Grass growing through sidewalk on Maple St. side of property.
Large shrub in front of house is so large that it is mostly preventing use of the sidewalk right there. House might be an IU property. Does City have jurisdiction over Campus?
Vegetation overgrowth. Makes this sidewalk impassable because it's a sticker bush.
Uneven concrete sidewalk. Forces wheelchair users, scooters, etc into busy College Ave
Landscape plot should either be brought up to sidewalk grade or have a tree grate. This is a pedestrian hazard.
At the NW corner of the intersection of 12th and Fess, there is a relatively new, ADA-compliant sidewalk/curb installation. There may be physical and/or legal reasons for having the center, raised concrete portion present, but it is not obvious and as a result is a trip hazard. We have tripped on it several times. There is a current project at the same intersection, so we were hoping that they could redo it or at least paint the section yellow so that it stands out. It is dangerous the way it is now.
About 20ft back from the southwest corner of 8th and Washington (between the street and the sidewalk) there is the bottom/stump of what was maybe a parking sign. If moving to the side to allow someone to pass on sidewalk or more likely someone getting out of the passenger side of a car could injure themselves, especially at night. Please remove or replace. Thank you.
On Walnut Street the sidewalk near the railroad is covered in glass pieces, which is a hazard for people and animals making the sidewalk inaccessible for dog walking. There is also often glass in the grass between the sidewalk and the road, which again is a hazard for animals.
Sidewalk 75% to 110% blocked by overgrowth. 113 and 117 East 15th Street and the corner of East 15th and North Washington. I walk my dog every day and have to go into the street to pass.
Thanks for your gracious response last year when I inquired about this problem. You told me to contact you if it persisted, and it has. The entire street drains from hilltops at the north & south ends of Blue Ridge Court, and accumulates mud and run-off debris right at the same spot on the sidewalk (as you saw last year. The trench did not work, and the mud accumulation is worse. Anything you can do? ~ Curtis Shedlak 812-345-2880
