It would be great if the city could offer some professional development courses geared toward women. I work on the IU campus as a professional staff and there is very little support offered for the types of challenges we face. a few weeks ago i wrote on ureport about the missing crosswalk button device at the intersection of west 3rd street & franklin. later when i looked at ureport again i could see that a city engineer had contacted the i-69 project to tell them it was their problem. it still didn't get fixed, so i called the phone # for 1-69 & left a voice message. a man from there called me back & said that their project doesn't go that far, so it's up to the city to fix that. his name is kirk roth so if there is still a dispute, please call him at the phone# on their website. this needs to get resolved please for pedestrian safety at a very busy intersection. people who live on yancy etc need to cross there to get to the bus-stop across the street to go to work. thanks

Hello, I live on Rogers where the road construction has been going on. While the construction so far has been annoying, it has been bearable and hasn't intruded on daily life functioning. The past two morning I have been woken at 6 am to extremely loud construction outside my window. 7 am was annoying, but bearable, but 6 am is just insanity. It wasn't even light out this morning at 6 am! I am ill and trying to recover and being woken at 6 am when I don't have to be awake for work until 8 am is just rude. Please, is it at all possible to wait until 7 am to start construction? At least it's a reasonable hour. Thank you, Rachel Matthews

Please forward this praise to the appropriate dept: If we haven't thanked the appropriate department already, on behalf of Bloomington Transit I want to give an enormous thanks to all the staff responsible for clearing the roads so that BT's fixed route and BTaccess (disabled transport) could successfully maintain operations last week during the awful cold and snow. I live off 18th and park road east..my back house faces the Crest play lot off. There is a dead tree that is pretty big that concerns us and our neighbors especially when there is severe storms like the other night and could possibly fall on power lines. CN we please get that tree taken down Thank you concerned residents

I'm in Bloomington quite often and like shopping at Walmart and Target, but I'm handicapped with a permit, but can never find a handicap space because everyone is parking illegal, I have never in all my years seen anyone being ticketed in these lots. I'm sure everyone else like me has thought about shopping elsewhere.

I have been trying to contact Matt Swinney (for over a month - last I heard from him was on Novemeber 12) regarding the trash build up of my next door neighbors. I have not heard from him from despite sending 4 emails since his last communication and I have not seen any improvement in the trash build up next door. I would appreciate if someone could ticket the people at 1317 W 6th St and also contact me about who to talk to in the future. I believe the abatement process needs to start again. Their property has had to be abated every year that I have lived next door.
