Isn't health guidance that those who can telecommute should? Why isn't the city doing this ---- so many people are in the office who can be working from home? :(
I am routinely seeing cars parked in front of the fire hydrant at 525 E. University St. Twice I've called the BPD to report it (other times I've left notes on cars or spoken directly to the car owners) and twice I've watched BPD drive by and do nothing. Each time BPD drove by about 10 minutes after my call which makes me think they got the call and just chose not to take action. In the very least the yellow paint in front of the fire hydrant needs to be redone, as it is very faint. I think it would be helpful if they painted the fire hydrant as well.
Why are there at least 5 open LGBT requests not receiving responses and action on here, across various departments? I'm wondering when a new mural representing the queer community will go up to replace the one with references (pride and trans flags) that was painted over downtown. It's great that two BLM ones are going up, but erasing one of the only visible City-sponsored symbols of LGBT acceptance in a world that is increasingly hostile toward it is not ok. Queer issues are not some flavor of the day no longer needing attention. Queer rights are under attack and I'd like the City to actually take a stand and show some allyship.
Please increase police patrols on 10th Street West of campus. Saw two presumably student parties in yards in the open around 5 tonight.
Our sub division Northwood Estates has been having a lot of trouble with drainage. It seems that the easements have overgrown scab trees & brush that may be blocking some water but it also seems as thoug your drainage system that takes the water to a creek needs to be cleaned out. We back up to the golf course & have trouble getting the golf course staff to maintain our side of the course, ie mowing, weeds, dead trees along the road,etc. We seem to be a bit neglected when it comes to these problems. Is the city ever going to stripe this block on 6th street? The city paved this last year and never did stripe it. It would really help with parking. Many people not only double park but will parallel park on the south side which should be angle parking. I e reported this before and nothing is getting done.
Can you all have your IT folks add a covid-19 option? I'm guessing lots of people are asking about it. Anyways, I was going to suggest some businesses aren't really essential, like ice cream shops (I'm not a fun hater), but everyone hanging out in an ice cream shop parking lot is not exactly health goals for a pandemic. Also, I noticed police officers walking around without masks. Now that that is recommended by CDC are officers and other city staff being provided with such masks and told to wear them?

uReport ID #180633 and #180632 both show they were assigned to Mallory Rickbeil. My understanding is that she quit her job with the City and left town. She is still listed in the City of Bloomington staff directory though. Maybe the City needs to do a little cleanup on the system. Or maybe I am mistaken about her status of employment. Whichever turns out to be true, I just wanted to make sure those rReports got to someone and did not sit in the inbox of a non-existent City employee. Thanks.
