The City is not the top place to work. Perhaps your organization once was but not any longer. People are unhappy. They talk constantly about it and then they leave. Worst work culture I have ever experienced. Even if you keep putting out there how great of an employee you are, we know. It stinks of MAGA nonsense to just keep repeating something that is blatantly false.

Saw a few reports on here were closed with very much the same answers but other concerns in the reports were ignored. We moved here years ago to retire and had worked in other governments and they all worked the same hours. Why do the county and city in this geographical area not work the same hours? It is very confusing because us citizens do not always know the correct place for help and need one or the other. Contrary to the response on here, we see the job postings in the paper, and the county has higher wages now by far with less education requirements, they work less hours as a whole, and they are closed for more holidays. I am unclear as to why the response given on this system is dismissive when there’s clearly a need for employees to be retained because citizens’ needs are not being met? Again it seems there have been many concerned with the fact that -not just you but many employers in the city are not modernizing and helping retain and attract employees in a healthy way for the long-term. If we were still in the government system working, a random additional benefit would not retain me versus better pay and less work hours in a week. Just another thought from involved citizens. Thanks for hearing our concerns.

Greetings. I'm aware that the Lime scooters have a barcode with a unique identifier on them. This is akin to a VIN that vehicles have and which Parking Enforcement uses to issues tickets. I imagine the other shared-use motorized scooter company's have unique identifiers on them as well, because how else would the companies keep track of their products? Why then does the City not work with those, essentially, Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN), to issue citations to then send to the companies? I know the business license states the companies are to require their users to photograph the scooter when done and parked. What is the point of that? Why is this photographic evidence not being used by the scooter companies to then pass down the enforcement to the user since they are supposed to have received proof of them parking correctly? Can someone please speak to this subject matter? I have been confused about the City's stance on why it is so difficult to enforce the rules around parking the scooters. Thank you for your time.

I live in Maple Heights and due to the taste and smell of the water I have had to buy bottled water especially for my dogs who refuse to drink it. Also, my clothes were smelling bad as I don't use scented detergent or dryer sheets, so I have had to take all my clothes to dry cleaning. Where should I send the bill? I am not getting the product I pay you for!

Suggestion for system after being told to report stuff to state system. Their info states the following, “INDOT does not respond to reports containing profanity, obscenity, vulgarity, or defamatory or discriminatory language.“. Perhaps this should be added onto this city system as there seems to be some profanities utilized on here as of late. Thanks for your work!

City Vehicle #689 has a headlight out. When will the city have its employees make sure their vehicles are in working order. This has been about the 5th time I’ve reported city owned vehicles not in working order.

This is the Dunkin Donut drive through on east third street Sunday10/16/2023. Something needs to be done about these problems. When IU students quit coming here because of this all over town maybe you will do something. This is disgusting. Only in Bloomington. It’s gotten totally out of hand.

Power in Park Ridge East is frequently out. Neighbors and the Association have flagged this unsuccessfully as an issue with Duke. Outages often take time for restoration beyond what would be expected. Basic power in neighborhoods should be a staple of good governance. I understand both the State and Duke are primary contacts for this, but can municipal governance please help flag this to Duke as a concern. Our household lost power yesterday and then again today (still out). Power reliability here has been less than anywhere I have lived, including internationally. Sentiment is similar among many other residents. As a sample from another resident's posted concerns yesterday: "I thought Duke did a lousy job of tree trimming this yea, and I'm beginning to think that was a correct observation. AC power in Park Ridge East is the least reliable of any place I've lived in the US and compares unfavorably to Ankara, Turkey, where I lived in the 1960s." Another poster from yesterday: "Agreed, power outages in PRE are a regular occurrence." I also had to contact Duke to correct dangerous power fluctuations in their line this year near my home, which was corrected after being flagged as a major fire hazard by my electronic monitoring company. Your advocacy for improvements would be appreciated and expected. Thank you.
