John Hamilton is not performing well. Here are some failures: 1) high speed internet 2) clueless about military vehicle acquisition 3) UDO and more generally his `3-ring binder' nonsense 4) mismanagement of farmer's market strife I have never voted for a Republican in 38 year but I'm writing to the GOP to see if they can put forward a moderate.

The City is a real nuisance. There is some really loud, non-stop grinding noises coming from this property that City Utility vehicles are in and out of all the time. What is going on? You are making it impossible to do anything at all of the neighboring houses and properties with this constant noise. Please stop.

Any way the stop e signs can get extra visible on N Smith ? People drive through n and s all the time without stopping. Skid marks are there now. Today almost was his by one car as I turned out of Morningside and saw another later in the day go through. I know lights may not work, unless there is solar?, But I'm pretty sure I've seen other ways of emphasizing a stop sign. Please and thank you. Especially since a bike path east/west too.

When will the assault on the south side of Bloomington traffic patterns stop? The attached photo shows the current problem: far right side, the detour signs for the two CLOSED north/south routes (Walnut Street Pike & Rogers). And the orange barrels show that Walnut is under construction as well. Today, at 3:15pm, it took approximately 20 minutes to travel from Lucky's Market at Walnut and Winslow to Kroger at Walnut and Gordon Pike. That is 1 mile in 20 minutes - an incredible 3mph speed! Although, in all fairness to that calculation, most of the time was spent at a standstill. This mess comes on the heels of last summer's mess when the City decided to close every east/west route in town (which, those are still only somewhat complete). What's next? One might argue there was no planning involved, but it seems like the coincidence of shutting down every road at once multiple years in a row is a coordinated effort, not random happenings. Disdain is too weak of a word. Can the City get its act together and not hog tie traffic every single summer? Or, at least add some capacity so when it opens back up more traffic can move? None of these projects have yielded any actual improvements in traffic - or, maybe we just can't realize it because when one road opens two more close.

I've been traveling down paths away from said Bloomington and sometimes I miss the place. More often not. Bless you all and don't get too self-absorbed.

Mr. Bell called very upset saying basically that on a 1998 December evening, after having an argument with someone, was arrested by a blonde-haired officer working the night shift (he named either Officer Kellams or Helms). Apparently, the person with whom he was having the argument called the police, who then detained him with handcuffs and started "beating/assaulting him." Mr. Bell had several other issues he was struggling to resolve, and has an apparent court date on 1/ 22.

Was assured she would get to adopt puppy she saved from road if no one claimed it. Now finds she'll have to compete with others for puppy. Jim Lang wouldn't take time to speak to her and clerk at front desk hung up on her.
